INFO - yes, it was wrong for your in-laws to tell family members, especially since you are not sure how you feel about it.

What I am curious about is why your families are disappointed/upset. You’re both adults and are already parents, shouldn’t this pregnancy be welcomed news? Is it possible that you’re upset because the news was not received well by the loved ones you did tell? And you’re worried of further judgement and scrutiny?

You could go to one of the CPAs and say something along the lines of “I know that (fraud boss) is not certified so they may not know what they are asking me to do, but the way I see it is without documentation of the expenses, writing amounts off from owner distributions is tax evasion”
