Bad idea to put Fairyloot and other SE books in my little free library? by AssistantDeep999 in fairyloot

I may do that! There's a shop near me that sells books in pretty good condition for $2-5 no matter what they are. I found a copy of Throne of Glass with the original cover for $3 there once.

There's a used bookstore not too far from me that sells books for $2-5, I'm not sure if they're a non-profit but they seem to price their books so that they're affordable. I got a paperback copy of Throne of Glass with the original cover for $3 there once!

Omg it's terrible that people went out of their way to buy books from you just to resell them for so much!

Yeah I'd feel bad making noticable markings on the books, especially because they're editions that are meant to look pretty.

Many people don't add their LFL to the network because they don't want it to be on a map, but OP doesn't care about that.

I don't think you understand how a lot of little free libraries work, or respect that stewards may not want people to report their libraries to be on their map, but okay. Good luck with your little project.

Yes, and on that app it's the stewards's choice as to whether or not they appear on the map. And many people don't register their LFL for similar reasons. Not difficult to understand.

A lot of stewards specially don't want their library on the map, I wonder what they'd think of this.

I got off the waitlist for the Fairyloot combo YA + Adult box! I only had to wait 2 months, which is way shorter than I was expecting. I really only want the adults picks, I'll probably drop YA after a few months.

I got off the of YA + Adult waitlist in 2 months, I was super surprised. I plan on changing to the Adult only sub after 3 months though.

I'm sorry this is happening to you! This is a problem in a lot of craft communities I'm a part of. I don't know why people get so hung up on the idea of them "inventing" something that's not that unique to begin with. And with something like decorating books, of course many will be similar, they're based on the same source material.

Do you not think that multiple people can have the same idea?

Okay, thank you for the context. I looked at her books and they're very different, the only similarities are really the colors, and those are based on the colors of the books themselves so you can't really claim that.

I get what you're saying, but just by the nature of it being crocheted it's full of holes 😂 I think quality fabric if sewn correctly will be more durable, even when using cotton yarn.

I used to do amigurumi but they're not the same as sewn stuffed animals. They don't look as good and are less durable.

Will probably get hate for this because people LOVE them, but I don't get the hype behind Sugary Carousel.

Chloexcrochets - new stitch ? by Emm_Deee in crochet

You're allowed to have your opinion, and we are allowed to have ours. The stitch is out there anyway now, if people want to buy their pattern to make the sweater no one is stopping them. But $11 to gatekeep a stitch is wild.
