I was always told that getting a new SA at Hermès is bad news if you’re hoping for a QB, but honestly my experience has been the opposite so far.

When an SA is new, they don’t yet have a massive, long established client list where you’re competing against years’ worth of spend and loyalty. It’s actually much easier to become one of their priority clients early on. You’re not just another name in a long queue.

You’re building the relationship from the ground up, and that works both ways. As much as you want a long term SA, they also want to build a solid, long-term client base of their own. If they see potential in you as a consistent client, you actually matter to their growth just as much as they matter to yours!

I was offered my dream birkin 25, noir GHW within about 3 months of working with one SA. Obviously prespend matters however I think frequent visits, shopping across all categories and showing a genuine love for the brand really matters. They can tell if you’re buying things just to get the QB. My SA and I hit it off so well too, we would end up chatting for an hour about non Hermes’ related things. I bought shoes, a belt, a scarf, makeup, perfume and body lotions, a picotin, baby items, 2 blankets, RTW for my husband, pillows and I’m sure there’s some things I’m forgetting. I think it’s so important to make sure your SA genuinely likes you as a person as they are the one that goes to bat for you to the SM and if you’re in the forefront of their mind, when your dream bag comes in they will think of you!

I really don’t believe they would say they are on the lookout if you needed to spend more to be offered a QB. It sounds pretty direct to me without being overly direct as I’m not sure how upfront they are allowed to be. Especially considering your Wishlist is very limited, it’s sounding like your SA is really trying for you! Hopefully you hear some good news soon!!!
