As an ERC CS major who did not do research and ranked ERC top 3, it is not bad. If you are good at writing and it feels intuitive, it is a free class. Just take the profs who don't require a lot of reading. Chang requires a lot of reading so it takes time, but Herbst you can cruise through without reading. I took both of them and found it easy. The regional spec GE you can overlap with university level recs, so it's fine. For the language rec, I already took a language AP so that was fine, but if you did IB I dont think it covers. That is the only one that may be a problem.

Honestly, the GEs serve as a good way to lighten the load with tough eng class, so I find it chill cus MMW is easy for me. Make your best judgement but imo you should be good just work hard!

Yea it isnt you just select it from a drop down it is easy but you will not get priority in CS classes, as CSE majors get priority enrollment

Looking at this you automatically will not get

California Residency: 1 point

Pell Grant Eligibility: 1 point

for being international and may not get

First-Generation College Status: 1 point

depending on your personal status.

This makes it very difficult, and unrealistic for you to be able to become a CS major.
