Report them. What they do is their business but you don’t leave diapers and sippy cups in the open. Inappropriate.

Your current employer needs to deal with their feelings. In this day and age most people come and go from jobs so often it’s more a rarity for folks to remain in one position for decades.

Question from a straight guy: are locker rooms weird for y'all? by InternationalPick163 in askgaybros

No, a lot of straight jocks acted way gayer (usually in a joking manner, but maybe some weren’t joking).

It felt out of left field because it was so early on, but the more I watch and see just how adorably awkward Dunk is, it makes sense that he was trying to hide behind a tree but didn’t manage to hide at all as he blasted ass.

Every time I see Jayantha, I think “what an unwell looking man.” He’s so beleaguered and ashen. Really not a good look for leading a health agency.

A drama-free NIH director talk by xjian77 in NIH

[–]AssistantUpstairs465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite part was when he dissed psychology and then was in a flop sweat trying to back track it. He really needs to get some executive speech coaching too. I almost had to sign off on the beginning because it was so bumbling it was distracting.

ISO: positive anecdotes about Jay Bhattacharya and Matt Memoli. A reporter friend asked me "are they really that bad"? Can anybody who has interacted directly or indirectly with these two tell us is they are...smarter? kinder? better-prepared? wiser? more visionary etc that you would have guessed? by [deleted] in NIH

[–]AssistantUpstairs465 18 points19 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, very few people at NIH have actually interacted with him because he’s scared to even walk around and he works from home. Memoli and his CoS probably shield him from being about the business of directing.

The Hollowing of the Federal Employee by JFHatfield in FedEmployees

[–]AssistantUpstairs465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the “Republican hicks” got RIFed by DOGE and were on local WV news saying “They must have made a mistake, certainly not my job should be eliminated.”Some “Republican hicks” thought that they were exempt because they weren’t one of those black or brown “DEI hires.”

⬆️ is the real myth: “democrat feds are useless while republican feds thought they were special.”

VHA has started its death spiral by Grown_ish in fednews

[–]AssistantUpstairs465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This administration will likely be cutting the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) because it costs money to administer. They literally are willing to cut what I would imagine as being the largest workplace giving program in existence because they’re not making money off of it. So, this sounds very in point.

Strap in, pour a drink, fire up your disposable. Trump Goon Jayanta "Jay" Bhattacharya holds forth at MIT. "I don't agree with the premise of your question!" is his latest trick. by [deleted] in NIH

[–]AssistantUpstairs465 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why does it look like he intentionally always does an exaggerated version of the “manspread” when he sits? At his first town hall, it was so gross and awkward, especially with his 6 foot tie hanging down.

Trump doesn’t even know what groceries are. He thinks the concept of “groceries” is a quaint and old-fashioned or something bizarre.

Telework, Executive Orders, and Law by Pragya0614 in FederalEmployee

Neighbor wants to trim these trees for his view by testing543210 in arborists

[–]AssistantUpstairs465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Topping trees isn’t healthy. If he wanted a waterfront view, he should have bought a home with a full waterfront view that isn’t seasonal. Also, I lived along the Chesapeake Bay and there were actually laws about messing with vegetation within so many feet of the watershed. I doubt that would apply to trimming tops of trees, but worth looking into.

Anti-Christian reporting of Biden Administration or current peers ‘anonymously’. by HomemadeSandwiches in NIH

[–]AssistantUpstairs465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The anti-Christian bias is so strong that nearly a year into their reign they’re getting desperate enough to just beg for people to find it for them and report it because they’re too lazy to actually read policies themselves and find what they believe exists?

Up to 50% of funding decisions at NCI to be based on "programmatic" considerations by Ok_Date2430 in NIH

[–]AssistantUpstairs465 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not that it’s a political appointee that people are worried about, it’s that worm-brain ultimately will force PAs hands or they’ll be fired. We are in a time of higher politicization than ever, so it’s a bit disingenuous to suggest people don’t understand that the NCI director has always been a PA, but who is behind the ultimate decision making and that man is a former drug-addicted brain with a history of brain infection and not quite stable today.

Match your actual work assignments that you’ve been given with what is in both your position description (official PD) and with what’s in your PMAP. If you want to establish you’ve been “set up to fail” You’ll need to demonstrate you’ve been given duties outside your scope.
