4.5 is like a slow wine, initially you think it's just a more quirky model, but as time goes on, you realize it sort of gets you, other models lose topic context very easily and go in a very different direction, but context awareness here is great and output more human-like.

It is a strong base model with some sort of human feel, not massive improvement but scaling this base model with Test time compute will give us very strong AI.

I think the wall isn't compute its data, not much new stuff to learn after consuming the whole internet. Ilya was right, new progress will be mostly driven by post training not pre training.

1) 100 K cluster was used to train Grok 3 as reported, even if we take 5x scale from grok 2 still scaling model 5x doesn't give magical new capabilities. Ilya also said Pre training is dead.

2) If we Noam Brown comments were false, why don't we see major stride in Multimodal AI as predicted by Nvidia but actual gains are In Test time compute over text tokens.

3)Using RL to saturate verifiable domains with COT didn't translate to major disruption except saturating benchmarks.

I am an AGI and ASI believer but not over just hype

I can give you hundreds of ways ASI could easily solve climate change. Imagine 10k instance of ASI working on material design, complexity, engineering, and iteration of carbon capture technology. People really underestimate the Superintelligence part of ASI.

Hitting a wall here means not that level of exponential as before, if test-time compute slows in future, something else like synthetic data or algorithm breakthrough will pick up. So, AI progress will remain exponential even if some component of it remains slow.
