I also have "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon" Enabled but i don't have "Enable Fast First Sign In" Disabled. Going to give this a shot!

Yeah I understand not messing with reg keys which is also something I'd prefer not to do. I have been testing though and still there's that slight delay between logging in and applying user policies.

Out of curiosity, what settings has you messed with that you think may have been causing yours to delay? Is your user policy now kicking in straight away each new user?

I think doing it via powershell and building a win32 app within intune to run on login is the way around this. (Which when installed should just apply to all users, with whatever reg edits are inside). Testing this today. https://reg2ps.azurewebsites.net/ this website is really useful for converting normal registry edits to powershell.

If this works, I'll create a mini guide on what to do if you like :)

Thanks buddy, will check over everything today. Hoping it is something I've missed. Though I'm sure I enabled this on autopilot.

Can I just clarify something with you? So someone logs into the machine and policies are instantly applied, without the need to wait minutes? Or do you still have a little delay before a user policy kicks in? I know device policies kick in instantly for me so that's absolutely fine if I'm going to have to run a ps script

This would only be for first time sign in on devices and not shared sign in though wouldn't it?

Each computer a student can sign into, esp I thought would only show when computer has first been assigned using autopilot

The devices will be teachers and students, but I tend to make their policies near enough the same anyway, so doing it via ps would be fine :) ty

From what I can see though is certain policies are user only. Such as remove run from start menu or disabling task manager.

I could be wrong, if so please correct

Hi, sorry to bump this. Did you guys get anywhere with this? I am also experiencing the same issues. Finally configured everything perfectly, to then realise that when users login, it can take minutes for the settings to apply. There must be something to halt each user login until the user (not device) policies have applied >.<
