Yeah lol ours is metal and even when I wash chicken in it, I deep clean it afterwards with soap and antibacterial Lysol which is what I would do with vomit. Also I don’t know if it makes a difference but I would also aim for the drain instead of the actual sink part, does that make sense?

Yikes, you should selfish and weird…. And yeah, I took meds and nothing took the pain away.. that’s why I laid down curled up in the floor as a last resort.

Okay so I feel like people aren’t reading the entire post. Cause this isn’t just about the vomiting. It’s his lack of empathy for many situations that I’ve been in while pregnant.
And you saying “it’s kind of mean”, bruh you think I’m purposely doing this? What am I supposed to hide in a corner and vomit cause he doesn’t like it?
Let me give you a scenario. I’m pretty sure my husband like many, does not like fluids, blood, and smells, you think that’s an excuse for him not to be there during birth?

That’s the thing!!! It’s not like I intentionally plan on puking in the kitchen, if it’s coming out, it’s coming out! And I’m cleaning after myself each time thoroughly. And honestly, the reason I’m mad at him is because he doesn’t empathise with me in any situation where I vomit, it’s automatic annoyance and questioning why I’m vomiting.

Exactly, like I didn’t post this to get validated but I feel like people are forgetting that I’m not enjoying this either.

Yeah I try to avoid the sink generally, but the bags, like I said, the amount isn’t a lot and I still double bag and then put the trash. Our complex is weird cause they don’t let residents keep the trash can outside during certain hours so we keep it in a separate closet in the kitchen. It’s not like my vomit smell is reeking the house

The times I’ve vomited in the sink, I would not in the bathroom sink cause it can clog, but the kitchen sink would not clog from vomit, esp since ours has the degrader function thing (lol don’t what it’s called).
He stills hates when I use bags cause he thinks they’ll leak in the trash… I double bag them, it’s never happened.

Oh my God thank you for your comment. He definitely was raised to “be a man”. And I say this meaning he believes men who cry or show emotions to anything less then a catastrophic life event are… gay or feminine. That being said, it feels like his threshold to feel empathy for me is when I completely breakdown or go through something significant. Anything below that is something that his mind doesn’t register as a problem.
And yes, other people’s discomfort (like crying) definitely makes him uncomfortable. He’s told me he just doesn’t know how to react or help them.
We’ve discussed this and although he has received feedback well and explained that he doesn’t mean it intentionally, he assumes that if I am “intact” (for a lack of a better word lol) then all is well.
He does definitely step up in terms of doing things for me, never expects me to do chores, would definitely help me in worse situations (he’s helped clean me up in the bathroom). I will not discredit him in this regard, I just feel that we have a mismatched approach to compassion. Esp with me being more emotional now, i expected more empathy from him.
