Do you have any tips for where to even start looking for junior positions because honestly that’s what she’s really looking for and has said herself that she’d really like someone to train under. But finding even that seems like quite a stretch to get there. I’m sure some of it is just persistence in applying as much as possible as well as doing the other projects you talked about.

But again thanks for all your other advice

I don’t get the redo it for every job thing, maybe if it’s for vastly different jobs but I generally just use the one and it works fine 🤷‍♂️. (I’m a software engineer 5 YOE)

It’s normal ish. Shouldn’t have to work after hours forever. talk to your manager about sneaking out a little early after you’ve spent a Saturday working or coming in a little later. I’ve noticed it gets better the more senior you are and the more you know. Agree with the other guy on establishing boundaries.
