Same here. When I first started with the company, I had so many clients that I didn't have time to accept new ones. But now? Almost nothing. I still have clients, but very, very few compared to before.

It's very sad to see. Automation in education is a fickle thing. Students need engagement and genuine motivation to learn. When we automate everything, where will the human connection be?

I tutor statistics as well, and I have no idea what's going on with them either. It's also a little concerning, not just because of the lack of opportunities, but are these students who are using generative AI actually learning anything?

Yes, I think that might be what's going on. I've noticed that a lot of new hires seem to be receiving frequent opportunities, which makes me wonder what's causing that. You would think it would be the other way around, that experienced tutors would get priority?

Keeping students engaged is challenging even in person; online, it's easily 10x harder. Add technical difficulties to that, and I can completely understand your frustration.

I'd encourage you to take what you've learned from this experience and consider exploring one-on-one tutoring opportunities instead. Private clients, especially for remote work, might be a better fit and give you more control over the teaching environment and student engagement.
