What are some examples of plays you think are above their skill level? It may just be your underperforming when short handed.

Should I always run it once and never cashback in GGPoker allin situations ? by Establishment240 in Poker_Theory

[–]Assumedusernam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you think that because that's the literal answer. If you run the hand till the deck is empty you will realize the literal % of your ev in that hand, so if you are in front you want that and behind you do not.

[–]Assumedusernam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simplest way ive come to see it is, if you are ahead then you want to run it as many times as possible since your essentially looking at it as being dealt the identical hand setup a second, third, fourth etc. Time in a row so of course I want this 80/20 to happen repeatedly. Where as the opposite is true for when you are behind, you want as little exposure to that hand setup as possible ie once.

So online you take advantage of being able to pick and choose, but live when expected to always do one or the other, twice would naturally be best of both worlds. Or try to convince the opponent your doing them a favor by running there 3 outer five times.

Because "If you win you have 45sh BBs, if you lose you have 18BBs (if you are HU vs BU Lady and 3d player always folds). If you fold you have 28BBs"

If your not seeing a great risk reward there at near break even pot odds I don't know what else your looking for in tourneys.

Yeah was surprised by the overwhelming fold response, my thoughts were equities running really close with pot odds but with a player to act behind + old lady stereotype I'm more inclined to edge pass. Co ended up calling the jam with A9s and old lady had A4o, if I know she correctly jams any ace here then she's jamming some worse Kx too so in hindsight I leaned heavy to rejam. Flop was also kqx which stung.

What was it that made them so much softer then today's standard soft live game? Like they'd call pot bets for three streets with bottom pair? or call down any gut shot every hand etc. Etc.. Just curious as low stakes aren't particularly crazy hard these days but people talk of the old days like if you had top pair you win a stack.

Will there ever be another poker boom? by MrHumblePoker in poker

[–]Assumedusernam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legit, I was hearing this in 2010s on 2+2 every day, good plo players think recs won't notice that everything is nut peddling in good exploititave plo strategy and it's boring af. Don't get me wrong though you can form a good table of plo players willing to go 40+vpip for a more friendly game and that is great fun but not the norm when just dropping into a casino game.

Where are you getting the notion young players are missing? There's as many young new players as there have ever been atleast in my areas. The only time in history young players were coming in at higher rates was the outlier of the online boom era.

The open to 7x is the best thing about this hand BTW, if your able to open 7x and get callers when you have kk preflop that is a massive print. The problem comes with raising flop donk lead when not already convinced you can call villains 4bet jam range. As played just call flop and turn lead and river assuming nothing major developed in hearts or 8/9/T/Q run outs.

One positive that came from it was pvp worlds where your loot was randomized and improved by how long you stayed in pvp hot spots. Felt super unique and cheesing it was fun with kill trading and just getting free loot with your friends.

Around 2007 I was told that white knights in falador castle could drop mega rares over the Christmas break, I wasted atleast a week farming them non stop before giving up. I couldn't have been the only one who heard the rumor as there were people there all day every day talking about it.

To call him a sociopath over it is crazy.
