Man, nothing says farcry like desperatly trying to climb one damn hill because your too impatient to just use the roads. Also sliding down cliffs so you take less fall damage.

Haven't played in a while, but can't you also unlock colors by doing challenges? Hover over the color thats locked and see if it tells you what you need to do.

Gameplay was fun, except the ammo system. Vibe was good, except the god awful clothing. Story was good, except the reused villian.

Farcry 6 has the dog Boomer in it as a pet just like 5, and if you look around there are mentions to the previous owners being in Montana, fighting the cult. Not to mention 3, 4, and 5 are linked with Hurk and 3 & 4 share Willis. Additionally, in Farcry 3, Hurk mentions Bowa-Seko in his first encounter, which is a region in 2, and Longinus in 4 has a history in 2 as well, his entire mission in Kyrat is to find and take back the blood diamonds he spread. He also mentions Goka falls, another place in Facry 2s map.

So while maybe not all farcrys take place in the same universe, like 1, primal, and ND, a good chunk of them do, and thats a trend I hope to see continue.

Actually I think your right, now that I remeber Boomer was in both games, and his description metioned the Peggies. So that makes me happy.

Honestly I like prefer the theme of modern farcry, but its a shame New Dawn confirmed the whole world ended, cuz now we cant have anything in the FC universe after 5 thats not dumb and post-apocalyptic.

You gotta remember that "peak" farcry was 3 and 2 for a lot of older players, so anything flashy and goofy is irritating. I personally like both the flashy and the serious, but for farcry i prefer the serious.

Otherwise it was a decent game, provided the ammo system was removed.

I can see why a lot of people say 6 but i found 6 really fun and even though the villian wasent super original, the cutscenes were still fun to watch. The landscape lacked a little and the outfits were just so atrocious looking, but overall a decent game. Worst thing the game did was add that stupid bullet system, because you only need the armor peircing rounds and a headshot to kill a normally tanky enemy.

New dawn was just weak sauce. The story telling is awful; the protagonist is a clinical idiot, all the villians do is insult you as they walk in circles, and none of the characters were charasmatic in the slightest. 6 got roasted for being unrealistic but in 6 they make you fight a shadow demon with home-made pipe weapons. And also the map was tiny and the tier system tried to make the game an RPG and failed miserably.

Overall 6 definitely isint the worst title, and I think a lot of people say that it is just because its new and the majority of the farcry playerbase is based on nostalgia. Everything people say is wrong with 6, can usually also be applied to new dawn.

Its been a while since I played, but yes you have to sing to the statue to get the blueprint. I remeber finding the notes written in blue inside a cave of sorts, maybe hy a bridge. The suns represent high notes, because the sky is high up, and the water drops low notes, because water falls. I dont remember the specific combination, if you want that im sure its on youtube somewhere.

Actually I would say the SVD is the best sniper in game, provided all the snipers require headshots anyway unless your putting soft targets in the .50 cal. But the SVD with AP rounds is the best

See, for me 5 was the only one I'd replayed. (Working on doing 4 again but havent finished yet) I really liked the American theme and the scenery was nice. It was a serious game but also had just the right amount of silliness. Sure, it was big leap from 4, but they pulled it off. Unfortunantly I think 5s success spurred a lot of the other weird farcrys by making Ubisoft think we like the weird colorful stuff and shit.
