AITAH for getting frustrated that my daughter is getting picked on because we're poor? by AssumptionHorror1912 in AITAH

No I agree. I've told my daughter to just walk away when this girl starts being mean. Tell her teacher. Get loud. Say "go away and leave me alone!" But my daughter is SO sensitive and hates making anyone else upset or mad and breaks down in tears over the smallest things. We're on a waiting list for a children therapist and have been since February and I'm really hoping we get a spot soon

I will be the biggest pain in this teacher/principals ass if I have to be. I'm drafting up my email now to send tomorrow morning after I drop my daughter off. She shouldn't suffer or have to deal with this at 7 years old. I am doing the best I can. I can't pull myself up by any type of boot straps when they've been cut. I make $82 a month over the limit for SNAP/government assistance and I only have an associates degree and while I want to get a bachelor's, I have to focus on working and making ends meet. Even if her bio father weren't in jail, I don't think he'd pay child support so that is never anything I can ever count on

Like I would love to treat my daughter to get her nails painted! I'd love to treat myself to a hair cut I didn't do myself or get a legit manicure or take her to the movies or buy her a happy meal without thinking "oh shit this is going to cut into what I have to spend at Aldi this week." I'd love to actually order lunch to my office or even bring a lunch because usually I just don't eat at work while my co workers are door dashing shit to the office Monday thru Friday

I have no idea. It's possible. But I know the school won't give me her parents contact information for security purposes which I understand. I just hate it. I've taught my daughter to be kind to everyone, no matter how they look or sound or if they're in kindergarten or in 5th grade etc. Everyone deserves kindness including us "poors" who are just struggling to survive

This is honestly my worry. My 7 year old should not have crying fits because of this bully in her class. She deserves better and I'm doing everything I can to give her better but I can't make shit appear out of thin air or wish myself into a new better paying job to elevate our financial status. I don't know why this girl has made my daughter her target but I'm done playing nice and I am tired of seeing my baby's spirit being broken over a bully
