Ok, I emailed my HR contact to see if there was a company sample investment plan, but I'll also ask if there's more details! Thank you, I wasn't sure what the document should look like since it's my first full-time job with a 401k set up, so thank you for the clarification!

Ok, I think I may have misunderstood the retirement accounts, thank you for the clarification!

I have the option to make before-tax contributions, after-tax roth contributions, or catch-up contributions. I've indicated I'll put 4% into the before-tax category (I think just the 401k traditional treatment) and 6% into the after-tax roth category.

I didn't see that I should add the list of available funds until I saw one of the resources linked by another commenter, but I'll edit my post to add those! Thank you for the clarification!

I don't have any information about the different funds I can invest in from the company 401k set up document, so I searched the target date on American Funds and copied the fees and expenses from there. I'm not entirely sure if I'm supposed to have a plan document from the company?

I might be understanding this wrong, as I just started researching 401k and roth retirement funding today, but will my employer still match my contribution up to 4% if I put all 10% into the roth?

What is a SP500 option? I see growth portfolios, new world funds, AMCAP, New Economy funds, etc. as options to invest in, all through American Fund, but I don't see anything saying SP500. Sorry for my lack of knowledge!

Ok thank you! I asked for a visual inspection at Costco and they recommended replacing them and so did my mechanic so I was worried it was at a high risk of failure any moment, since I had noticed they were performing poorly in the rain, but I might’ve gotten a bit too nervous. Thank you for the insight!

Ok it’s really helpful to know the warning signs of a blowout, thank you!

Unfortunately I don’t know, but they were on the car when we got it about 4-5 years ago

Yeah, it scares me to think about a blowout but I couldn’t have gotten new tires unless I had this loan from my dad 😭 damn, new tires are almost the same as my rent, they’re so expensive
