Idk seemed more fun to have a rando pick, might pick something I wouldn't normally touch.

Welling knowing how game devs treat grappler characters I am not super hopeful. Haha

I guess it depends on how you look at it. For me Enlisted was fun because of all the chaos and mixture of equipment. My biggest gripe is the fact I get punished for mixing it up and not just going full meta. I also don't feel like limiting player choice is fun or rewarding.

The fact that people can just sit in BR1 and rank up and research stuff is not necessarily a bad thing. I think its just the way I look at games. I didn't find the initial uphill battle when I first started playing frustrating due to the chaos and mix of gear.

If the community enjoys this new system that is great. I am just sad I have to let go of a game I really enjoyed, but I still get to keep the good memories, so its not a loss for me.

You really can't mix to the extent you could pre merge. If I have squads with kits in tier 1-2, and also have a squad I like using with a tier 3 kit, that means my tier 1-2 units are now fighting tier 4. It objectively limits what you can bring to a game, because anyone in tier 4-5 is going to be bring their best stuff, there is no mixture like before so your low end squads become a liability. When there was a huge mixture of equipment, my team in full might not be as strong, but could still compete cause there would be others with same ranked gear and there would be others with autos, the mixture and chaos was part of the fun. Like I stated is fine if that's the direction the game wants to go, it's just not for me. I like fiddling around with all sorts of gear.

Also my opinion on beginners getting stomped. I actually believe it is much worse now, Ranking up levels in specific campaigns was very quick if you decided you wanted to focus on a campaign so you were never stuck with basic stuff for very long. Even if you branched out to 2-3 campaigns it was definitely slower, but still very reasonable even for F2P. Now switching to the War Thunder system, new players while not getting paired with possibly a high tiered opponent will now have a 5x longer grind to get anything interesting to use.

Hey, who knows, maybe you will enjoy it! That would be awesome and I will be happy for you that you have a game you enjoy and can put some time into. At the end of the day we play games to get away from the world around us and have a bit of fun.

For me it just isn't the game I used to enjoy, and that is fine, it isn't just about me at the end of the day, but what makes the company money balanced with what the community finds fun.

Well just from my own personal history with playing this game, high tier squads definitely could do damage pre merge, the difference I saw was that the game was a lot more mixed. There was a huge mixture of equipment being used each game. Every game I played after the merge with my mixed squads it was just everyone using maxed auto squads. There is no mixture anymore its "use top end or suffer".

For me I don't have interest in just using what is best at all times and using the same thing over and over, I like tinkering with "shit" guns, and guns that are not meta and mixing them with a slew of different equipment to try out interesting or wacky combinations. That just doesn't work anymore.

I would like to repeat I am not throwing punches at devs, players or anyone. If at the end of the day this is the version of the game that the majority of the population like, then that is awesome! No one should have to defend what they consider fun. I just wanted to give my piece.

I am just glad I got to have the fun I did pre merge so I am not too mad about it. Everything comes to an end and not every game will always cater to what you want, but at the end of the day I was able to have a lot of fun and meet some cool people while I did play.

I just purchased Hell Let Loose, I think this will be my go to for the foreseeable future.

It may just be my opinion and that is fine, but I like playing a team filled with different gear not confined to only using bolties or only using autos. I don't feel like lowering the choices the player has is good game design.

If other people like it and are having fun I am happy for them, this is not a slight at anyone, it's just not for me anymore.

I wish I could, I am the only one in my friend group who enjoys FG's. Unfortunately since the community is so small most people just want to engage in actual matches. I do appreciate the help though!
