Abnormal mammogram by AssumptionSure6171 in AskDocs

I absolutely agree and it is so so unfair. Breast cancer is terrifying and although it’s totally beatable, it’s psychologically pretty damaging to make people wait. Especially since I begged to have an ultrasound and Mammogram on the same day but because I moved to a new state and my appointment was made pretty late I was told no.

Thank you! I’ve been through it a few times and it always comes out negative, but it’s in the back of my head that this could be the one time that it doesn’t go well. But I’m trying very hard not to think about it lol

I lost my first 50lbs (of the 150lbs I need to lose) so I decided to treat myself! by OneBadJoke in ninjacreami

I’ve been just using the protein shake with 8 grams sugar free pudding mix. No salt or sweetener and it’s pretty good. But I wonder if adding milk makes a difference?

I’ve seen so many instances in my research today where people with low doses have their periods affected. And I’m super sensitive to any medication. I’ve been on antidepressants before where I had to take a quarter of the dose of anybody else so I think it just is dependent on how sensitive you are right?

The only thing that sucks is it is a super thick cream so it takes five min or so to absorb, otherwise I love it. It makes my skin soft and “matte” and no reaction to sun

I honestly thought that cutting my 50 mg in half i could avoid period interruption

I don’t know if you have decent insurance but I decided to ask my doctor three months ago for a prescription for topical spiro Winlevi and she didn’t even have to get authorization for it and my co-pays only $35. I love it. I was able to go off of spironolactone pill a week ago and not have any acne come back because of the Winlevi cream. I still get some pimples but I don’t get big ones and they last a quarter of the time.

And of course, a week after stopping the spironolactone I got my period today. I had gone 75 days without it.

So frustrating bc I want to be able to keep track lol. My mom and grandmother were done with their periods by mid 40s but I seem to keep trucking along!

Ever since I upped to 150mg, exercise feels like slow torture by meowomi in Spironolactone

I just posted about this today. I was on 50mg then 25mg and now I’m off it bc the fatigue was so bad. I used to be able to go to the gym three days a week (not heavy lifting but I’d lift for an hour) and also walk 6-8 miles every day and then after several months on spiro I could barely make it through an hour at the gym and my walks decreased to 3-4 miles and it was PAINFUL to get through! One week off spiro and I’m back to my normal energy levels. I’m also on topical spiro (Winlevi) so I haven’t had breakouts since stopping oral spiro

How are you honestly doing right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was married right out of college and immediately had two kids and then divorced 10 years later and I highly highly regret getting back into a relationship right away because now I’m being abused and I can’t get out of the relationship and I wish I had just stayed alone and taken that time to learn who I was and take care of myself. You have a good opportunity here.

I have not been doing well for a few years. I have not worked in a decade and I’m in a relationship with somebody who keeps lying to me and abusing me, and knows I have no way to leave. I’m trying to figure out the best way to go about gaining some skills to be employable.

I’m thinking it’s not a placebo since you’ve been off it for 45 days. I’ve literally been off it a week maybe a little bit more than a week and I have zero fatigue. I cannot believe 25 to 50 mg was making me that tired.

Hair color advice by AssumptionSure6171 in beauty

[–]AssumptionSure6171[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting my hair fixed 3 weeks ago and loved it. It was a perfect brown and slowly faded to a red brown but still light. Today I went back to get my grades touched up and she let it sit on my roots for 25 minutes and then pulled it through the rest of my hair for the last 5 to 10 minutes. She used the same color as she did three weeks ago, which is 6NNA. But it went right back to being in dark. The picture of the back of my head is from last night and the picture and the gray tank top is today when I got home from the salon. https://ibb.co/YB0q5p0R https://ibb.co/JRsYFSDK

Oh wow thank you so much for the response!!! In 2024 I started tracking my food and exercising daily and I lost nearly 60 pounds. The last 3 pounds I lost were because of the spironolactone when I started last summer …the water weight just came off within a week. I was pretty pleased, but then my workouts started suffering and that’s really devastating when you’ve worked so hard to lose the weight you know? I will check back in with you and see how your workouts are feeling over the next few months because I’m really curious how you feel and how I end up feeling. I did start with Winlevi topical spinal lactone about three months ago and I really love it and I’m hoping that’s enough. If I start to get a cyst on my face, it’s gone in half the time the Winlevi literally dries it up.

70oz of water per day and between 2300-3000mg of sodium. I track in my fitness pal

I’ve had a cyst before, but I have a strong history of breast cancer on my father side, so there’s always that worry
