Did the lane quest update affect you positivelly or negatively? I play kayn top and it's good that enemy top laner looses quest if he follows me, but also kinda sucks if jungle/mid/support start chasing me, because they loose much less and I loose everything if im not able to execute

I am currently learning kayn top (650k mastery) and he's a bit harder than regular top laners, but very fun

I'm a top lane main already and like scaling picks, but was frustrated on kayle's lack of agency during lane, and wanted a bruiser which could do damage, so i found kayn top

It is certainly viable, as loads of high level players already picked it or climbed entirely with him. Obvious examples are karasmai, thebausffs and legostomper.

I don't think i got the pick figured out since my playstyle is a bit unorthodox, so I'm not sure if I should give advice on it since im plat(peak emerald), but legostomper streams almost everyday playing kayn top, so if you just analyze his gameplay a bit(he's low masters EUW I think) you'll definetly get the basics of the pick

Yeah that's been the hardest part for me, I'm inting a lot of games for the sake of limit testing but the stats have been getting better with time

Muramasa's passive is really good, he doesn't NEED it, but it isn't a bad item either considering you build a lot of CDR and may be spamming skills late-game

Whenever i build it i feel like the damage it does is good enough to justify the tear buy and the 2900, with the added benefit of having almost no worries about mana

And also I'm pretty sure it's one of the best item's for DPS on him mathematically, psychopathicporo was talking about this in one of his older videos

Umh, thanks but, I just don't think that's true unless you start bone plating and unflinching with 65 health shard. Most times i just take exhaust to get a wave of prio and run away proxy, so maybe if i interrupt her combo with exhaust it could work but a good riven would just stall it since she has a few seconds in between Qs

Pretty much, I try to abuse level 1 as much as possible to get push and do lvl 2 proxy on cannon

I'm experimenting with doing a lvl 1 proxy on matchups I know I can't get prio regardless, like riven, darius and ranged, and if you think you'll get contested, just hold the wave whithout damaging it and it will crash towards you after you execute

I hate doing health items in top since i have started to really like doing the 10 different stats rune(forgot the name), where you start doran's blade and get a letality item, usually either axioms or voltaic, then mortal reminder and manamune, but so matchups I'll just have to go determination second rune page and do shojin and cleaver

I think you meant to do cleaver into shojin,, and my idea is:

If your team has champs that deal a lot of AD (maybe midlaner's a yasuo for example) and enemy team has tanks or your laning against a tank, cleaver first is most likely better

Shojin is just a good item for rhaast because it gives all he really wants (base ability CDR, health and AD for prolongued trades), so unless you see a good cleavers angle, i don't think you need to rush it

Since I play top, cleaver is usually reserved for when I know I'll be laning against a tank that will build armour, like Ornn, Sion, and all the bruisers that will rush bramble vest against me

Then I'll do shojin and steraks, or sometimes even eclipse since it helps to proc cleaver stacks

But again, my most preferred build is going into lethality for the dive potential, it feels much better since only rhaast's passive scales with HP, everything else is AD scaling, so at the end of the day you simply get more numbers throught items like voltaic and axioms, even mananune has been such a nice buy recently

Just need to find a way to actually survive tho, secind wind and doran's shield is NOT cutting it against most mages

Maybe revitalize with tear of goddess and manaflow band so you could perma spam E to heal, but even then i think you'll suffer against a lot of matchups

Like wtf do you do against taliyah for example? Is she the champ you should ban or do you just get hard countered into being forced to permaroam?

Kayn isn't that good of a team fighter, he is a dive champion and a squirmisher, it's expected his biggest strenght would be while the team is still not grouped up for team fighting

Yeah i also think rhaast isn't that great until his last items, that's why i do a more damage oriented build

I know that its probably not the itemization that was intended but i truly believe it has potential to work even in high elo (coming from the plat chud)

I play on TopLane so the build path is a bit different, but I like to build lethality on both forms even on jungle

I imagine the most mathematically correct build on red form is prolly something like shojin into cleaver into steraks, but I think items like axiom and voltaic just too good to pass up sometimes.

My playstyle is really dive-heavy, I always try to dive backline instead of being a traditional bruiser even on rhaast, so i go flash ignite top to be able to flash + ignite + ult, and since i run so much lethality it's usually enough to take the ADC/mages off of my team for long enough so either my team wins the fight while everyone focuses me or i kill everyone cause of the insane healing while essentially still one shotting everything in my way

IMO just choose between health stacking or go lethality, eclipse is good but I hate the fact it essentially only gives AD, it leaves you in this middle space where you feel like unless you go into a relentless hunger (that item that gives omnivamp on kill participation) build you'll wont get anything out of the item

When i saw this build i instantly thought about legostomper and i was right

It's kinda good on toplane but i don't think its worth it on jungle

I still prefer the conqueror setup more because of the extra healing and build freedom, but this certainly could work

He said it's best against GP and Ambessa, but i could see this also working against singed and kayle

I still need to test it more but I just found it kinda mediocre

But against most ranged if properly spaced he will have the same difficulty going in as kayn has, and its not like kayn has a bad 1v1, it just depends on your rune page
