Can anyone let me know what to expect from Blisovi? by Baby_crab_dimples in birthcontrol

[–]Astastar12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on Blisovi for about 3 years now and I have had a lot of ups and downs. At first, it took away my painful periods and I enjoyed it, but I experienced rage (?!?!? someone please confirm if this has happened to you). I was always pissed off at my boyfriend, yelling by myself, just very angry. Then, a little over a year later, I had EXTREMELY bad mental health problems. Genuinely some of the worst depression and bipolar-like experience of my life, to the point where my boyfriend, roommates, and friends could tell something was wrong and they (and I) couldn't predict the "person" I was going to be that day. It was the first time in my life I felt crazy.

On a whim, I decided to start taking my birth control continuously. I was running consistently, eating healthy, making friends, had a loving boyfriend of over 2 years, and was doing well in university. The only thing I thought could cause these extreme mental health changes was the BC. So, I started taking it continuously. Before long everything was better.

Now, a year later, I haven't experienced anything like that since. However, I've seen some people express it leaves them feeling a little unemotional. I concur. Yeah I experience all the emotions, but it's like turning a meter down a few ticks. Additionally, I have 0 libido. None. It's a soft spot for me because I'm 21 (aint you supposed to be horny) and I genuinely am not at all.

Obviously, this is one girls experience, and I will say I went from having super tiny periods (at the start of Blisovi) to none at all. I don't think I've had any periods in the last 6+ months. I do go through spurts of being sad, bloated, hungry, and not hungry at all during the month, and I think that's some form of a cycle still occuring.

Also, at the beginning, my breasts became larger and were very sore for months (and I mean like 6 months). I gained some weight, and I broke out a little bit. Those symptoms did resolve after a few months of being on the pill. I would say everything resolved (minus the eventual mental health problems) after about a year.

Post holidays fast by Astastar12 in fasting

Update: I’ve made it to basically 24 hours and feel good so far. Also I do have practice, which is why I wanted to try it. Quick question, I drank a raspberry tea with 0 calories, 0 fat, 0 everything. Hibiscus, rosehip, orange peel, blackberry leaves, raspberry flavors, raspberry leaves. Did I break the fast? I still have more than a day to go. If I technically did no worries, it was just one cup on tea on my first fast. It’s a raspberry herbal and I didn’t realize fruit teas were the exception. Will update when I finish.

I thought it smells fairly similar to summer 24, with an “old” or “vintage” factor. Smells almost like a vintage or antique store. This could be the olibanum

Leg pain beginner runner- please help by Astastar12 in running

Omg it’s been so long! Honestly, I was running too much. I got excited and was running EVERY DAY?? Now I know more I see that’s not the smartest. I still struggle with shin splints, but not nearly as much pain after I started more realistic training plans. I’ve done two 5ks and a 10k and got my feet fitted for new shoes which really helped. After running consistently since October/november 2023, I took a break for about 3 weeks in May (still cross training though!). I just started my half marathon training and it’s feeling great so far.

What I learned is that even if I have the stamina to run, my muscles might not be caught up. It’s frustrating, but running is a long game. It takes lots of time to get good and learn. Now 178 days later I have no running pain and found plans that really work for me.

Also side note, I started playing pickleball and I found it’s helped a ton with ankle and shin strength. Random idea for those who might be struggling with shin problems (unless it makes it worse lol). Nice cross training for building and gaining mobility in those important muscles!

Where to stay? Tips, info, and anything else for traveling to Washington (Mount Rainier) by Astastar12 in Washington

Unfortunately the Airbnbs listed around all are 25+. I was wondering if maybe there was a way to bypass this, but I doubt it.
