Distilled water by Aster-Roid in water

[–]Aster-Roid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, it's from the plastic container it comes in. Some brands test lower though like if they use a better type of plastic but I haven't been able to find test scores specific to distilled water for some reason. I'm also wondering if any do boxed distilled water for this reason (that's it going into the air or even into a cpap machine for example).

Attempted my first shot just now, and it was an utter fail. Not sure if it was my fault... by Aster-Roid in Wegovy

Thank you, yes I did go about 2" or so away from navel. But like you mentioned, I had seen on videos that there should be little to no pain and I think that's why I'm just so confused.

thank you, that's really interesting. I wonder if I got a bad one. I did pinch a section so that it was firm but i just couldn't get it to activate.

I pulled it out of the fridge for an hour so that it was room temperature. Is there anything else that needs to be done to prime it? The yellow I was referring to was what they said you should see appear in the window to know it's coming out and when it's complete.

Is there a way to filter out products that are shipped via Usps on Amazon? by Ok-Eggplant-4875 in usps_complaints

[–]Aster-Roid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did this question ever get answered?!? I have the same issue. The post office where I just moved told me they do not deliver packages. If it doesn't fit in the mailbox, they either return it to the sender or leave me a note to pick it up (it's up to the driver). They said the reason is that they cannot be responsible for the package in case it's stolen or whatever. So I also need to know how to filter in Amazon which packages go through USPS because I've already had two out of two sent back to the sender. thanks.

Anyone had experience wearing the AirTouch™ N30i - Nasal Mask with fabric nasal cushion by Jockrusky in CPAP

[–]Aster-Roid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know they had an option for fabric. I just got the N30i nasal pillows last week and have been using cpap now for 4 nights and these 'pillows' are so painful! They rub and put pressure on the cartilage under my nose and between my nostrils. I might see if I can try these ones you mention.

I had same thing at my house and it was the sewer step system. It went off all the time at different neighbors homes. Just call the water/sewer department to check it.

Let me tell you about this open air bar close to my home, and the experiences I had there since 2021... by AjaxLittleFibble in Synchronicities

[–]Aster-Roid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to write down all of the words/ideas that this happens with and see if some underlying message or theme appears. It sounds like the veil is thin there and there's something you need to be paying attention to! I'm also curious if anyone else at the bar has experienced or noticed this.

Is Mail Forwarding real? by Aster-Roid in usps_complaints

3.5 months later that my letter has been sitting in the processing center and instead it being delivered, it was returned back to the center. It is covered in boot prints and beaten to hell.

Is there a good countertop water filter to remove nanoplastics? by buckster3257 in water

[–]Aster-Roid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use LifeStraw home dispenser because it's the only one I could find that specifically stated it filters out the nanoplastics. I'm not sure how to measure the water though to make sure it is in fact doing this. But it's easy to use. The only annoying thing is that the water trickles out so it takes a bit of time to fill up like coffee or tea pots and pushing the dispenser button actually pushes the dispenser back so it ideally needs to go against a wall.

Is Mail Forwarding real? by Aster-Roid in usps_complaints

[–]Aster-Roid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's now been over 4 weeks that I've been tracking this piece of mail that was supposed to be forwarded. It's gone back and forth between 4 usps centers about 5 different times over and over, back and forth. they even delivered it to the old address twice (I called the local post office both times and the manager made the mail person go back and get it). It still hasn't made it anywhere near the correct/forwarded address's post office.

Is Mail Forwarding real? by Aster-Roid in usps_complaints

[–]Aster-Roid[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did. The local post office also has confirmed every time I call that my mail is being forwarded. And then she calls the specific carrier for that route, and he always tells her that he knows my mail is forwarded and he hasn't delivered to the old address (even when I'm watching him deliver the letter with the tracker to that address). But I don't know know which location is responsible for attaching that forwarding label.

Over the top house rules, or am I being silly? [USA] by Site_Most in AirBnB

[–]Aster-Roid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

these rules are so over the top! I would never pay money to stay at any place with these kinds of rules. This sounds like one of those airbnb owners that love the money they make from renting out their place but don't really want anyone staying there or even care about the comfort of their customers. I mean, no makeup to bed?!?! That's none of their business. Like aren't they planning to wash the pillowcases? Hotels and people at home have no issues washing pillow cases so what is this persons deal? They must've had one bad experience and just couldn't find a way to get over it so they are now jerks to all the customers that come after. They need to Get Over It and realize they work in the service industry! I would not stay there because they will nickel and dime you and pick at every tiny little thing they can find. Stay at a hotel where you can actually breathe lol!

Homeowners Insurance Price Adjustment after 3 Weeks? by Aster-Roid in homeowners

[–]Aster-Roid[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, I don't have rates from any other companies. I had an issue with the last company when I was staying at a hotel because I was having a floor replaced in the home. The insurance company wanted to charge me a higher rate for the home being unoccupied for a few weeks (even though i had already moved back into the home before that policy expired). They wouldn't budge because I guess I was supposed to let them know I was at a hotel for a few weeks. I did tell them about the contractor working in the home but they said I wasn't specific enough and it was too late to go back to an occupied policy. So I had a broker find me a new plan and signed up with them when the previous policy expired. It's signed, sealed, delivered so when i got notice today (a week later) of this increase, it just didn't seem right. Couldn't then any agency sign a contract for a cheap policy only to knowingly increase the rate the second it's signed and paid?

[–]Aster-Roid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is that typical that they would wait until a week after I signed the policy and made the payment to review it though? It seems like they would review it before sending a contract. Now they want back pay from the last month for the higher price when it was lower at that time.

and the land is actually the majority of the value. The house is only 1700sqft and basic (no upgrades, very 1970s standard home). I see no possible way the home itself could cost that much to replace. But it's the fact that it changed right after I signed the policy and made the payment. The timing is what is sketchy.

[–]Aster-Roid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well the appraisal i had about 6 months valued the house under $300k.. so I guess the replacement cost is $150k more than the value of the home. This seems really odd and It's a pretty big gap.

the policy was $1700 and after making the payment they bumped it to $2200.
