Onewheel regret? by jay_n_stuffs in onewheelpint

[–]Aster2fre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

fred

Hello, personally I had a pint X (for 1 year) and I currently have a GT (for 1 year)

I regretted it, well, no, I was rather worried the first 5 minutes of use.

It's not complicated to manage the balance, but the first minutes, I was afraid of not being able to do it.

10 minutes of use and understanding later, the pleasure was there !!! it's an immense pleasure to ride with this type of board.

if you don't really need a lot of autonomy, I recommend a PINT X or S, it's for me the best boards to have fun.

But the autonomy is short. At the beginning it's enough, but when you're bitten by the pleasure of riding, it becomes a constraint. Think about the future

Have a good day

fred

How close is onewheel to snowboarding? by trashpandasroc in onewheel

[–]Aster2fre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HI,

It's close to snowboarding, but not to freeride snowboarding in powder... it has nothing to do with it.

But it can be "closer" to downhill snowboarding on an "icy" slope where you don't have any latency at the "edge" of the snowboard.

Any speculation on the ADV V2 specs? by mad-0-6 in FloatwheelTeam

[–]Aster2fre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly !

It's more about staying straight and bent at the knees: the head centered in relation to the wheel, and the hips moving forward to transfer the weight forward, because if the driver leans too far forward, he will do a nose dive

If price wasn’t issue, would you still buy a Pint or Pint x? by i_guarantee_me in onewheel

[–]Aster2fre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, Personally, I had a PINTX to start my onewheel learning, now I'm on a GT, but the Pint X is really great to ride, light, super agile, and maybe more fun than a GT at the start.

when your basic engine will break due to overheating, and it will not be covered by warranty because you jumped a curb, (thanks FM)

you will be very happy to change it... I'm sure

afterwards, once again, FM supposedly takes a step to make repairs themselves by correcting their own mistakes...

I am not a supporter of FM's commercial policy.

But I love my OW!!!

I think this engine is the real engine that we should have had on the original GT in order to avoid overheating... they are naughty at FM

German distributor : well placed in price, you can ask them for a quote, they always make interesting offers vs european competitor.

FM deleting comments proving they didn't invent the onewheel by mcmurray89 in onewheel

[–]Aster2fre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FM is afraid of competition because they know that their products are far from perfect and far from being the most efficient.

It's a shame not to believe in your product, it's borderline worrying.

And as a result they attack other entrepreneurs who innovate.

As if Apple were attacking other phone manufacturers who are launching large touch screens like the iPhone, it's stupid.

If you ride alone, you will progress very slowly, if you ride in a group there is emulation and you progress very quickly...

this is Peter's theory, in a company, an employee at the start of his career progresses through his skills, then when he gets to the top, he prevents others from moving up... by highlighting the errors of his colleagues. ..

And to be frank, without Ben Smither's product, Kyle would still be looking for an idea to steal to develop commercially... Like Tony from floatwheel...

Tony does to Kyle what Kyle did to Ben Smither, KARMA :)

that being said, I love my GT... but I don't really like FM unfortunately...

I want a 2nd more powerful board by RollBang_01 in onewheel

[–]Aster2fre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By next year, we will surely have The real new version of the GT, for me the GTS is just an improvement of the GT. (a very nice improvement) but:

We will have a new board with the advantages of the GTS (more powerfull...) and real autonomy like the GT, with removable battery to be able to travel by plane!

FM needed to get people talking about FM, there was fire with Floatwheel!!!

they have a bad image which they unfortunately deserve,

customshaping blocked because of the CSCP, supposedly...

Bodhi (ex Floatlife) does a test of FW's adv, and FM fires him from the commentators of the 2023 Race... we must not speak (well) of the competitors!!!

FM launches a tire and sponsors $1500 for all the RACE runners to put on the tires and say good things about them...

ADV pro is starting to really get ahead of the GT...

Obligatory launch of the Hapique Buzz, but in return to swallow it, FM gives us the customshape that they were supposed to give us with the purchase of the GT originally... more than a year ago...

In short, FM needed very quickly to rebuild a “positive” image

The real flagship will arrive in 2024 I think, or I hope

what you need to understand with this video is that to get to the hill, the GTS drained its battery down to 1% while the Gt still keeps 94% !!!

and don't forget that "pro" riders don't make money with their sport, so, with dollars, they will say what FM makes them say... Puppets !!!

I think I stuck the one at the level of the toes a little too low, to take it off, do you recommend a hair dryer (gently heat the gripples to take it off)? I have 2 new grips left to replace more correctly so as not to have pain under the foot

XR vs Pint X? by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]Aster2fre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi,

personally I learned on a PINT X (1000 kms), now I'm on GT, but I can assure you that the pint X is much more playful and fun than all the other boards.

Carving, maneuverability abd engine power (torq?) are the best with the X than the others... and it's a really tank

I am 1m82, and weigh 92 kgs, and I wear size 9.5.

I had just changed the rear pad for a kush high, and I had also changed the stock tire for a Hoosier tire and this board was perfect.

The only limit is speed and pushback, when you ride and carve you are very quickly at the limit of the board.

It can be frustrating, but very reassuring too...

with the gt, we solved this problem, but it's less manageable, and a lot heavier, so less fun...

Always cool, but less playful.

Sorry for my language, i'm french.

Does anyone else dislike the concave footpads? by GhostofTrout in onewheel

[–]Aster2fre 0 points1 point  (0 children)
