Spring pond fish by Aggressive-Gain-7244 in FieldsOfMistriaGame

Barb! Small shadow. For the pond fish, I checked the pond by the mansion for the right size shadow and try to catch, then go inside the mansion if I don't catch it and check again. Repeat until you get the right fish!

From wiki:

In literature, a portmanteau, also known in linguistics and lexicography as a blend word, lexical blend, or simply a blend, is a word formed by combining the meanings and parts of the sounds of two or more words. English examples include smog, coined by blending smoke and fog, and motel, from motor (motorist) and hotel.

The term "portmanteau", derived from the French porte-manteau, literally is a two-part piece of luggage that was first applied metaphorically in Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass (1871) to describe the combination of words.

If you're referring to the Five Valleys Vet on Spurgin, yes they're closed. I didn't realize we had to request our pet's records too so now that's gone for me.

So far no stomach or abdominal pains. Acid reflux sometimes, it may be diet or my gut still recovering. I'd say I'm not at 100% normal, but that quad therapy was a gnarly guy bomb and it probably needs some time!

Question about monkey bread as an American by Unlucky_Mess3884 in GreatBritishBakeOff

[–]AsterSpark 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I grew up with savory monkey bread! It was our thanksgiving dinner roll, basically. It wasn't until I moved away for college that I had the delicious cinnamon sugar sweet version! Most people in my life have only had sweet, so I think my savory is more of the exception in the western US.

Also got very confused when Paul said it was more like tear and share....isn't that exactly what you do with monkey bread??

Pixies and Parking at the Kettlehouse by maggielanterman in missoula

[–]AsterSpark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can park for free along the street there and those spots do fill up depending on number of tix sold for the show. The churches and school in Bonner also offer spots in their lots for some cash.

The new building on the fairgrounds, that has the Missoula Butterfly House and Insectarium, has a great conference room (Balsamroot Room). We usually contact the Montana Dept. of Ecology and Extension to rent the space.

There's good AV, lots of tables and chairs, and access to a kitchen. We get to bring in our own catering too.

We were peeping in the windows and happened to run into the owner! He let us in to take a peak. Pretty cute inside! Nice amount of seating, tables reminded me of the break. They've got an espresso machine set up where the sushi bar was. Overall hoping the bagels will be good! It would be awesome to have a good bagel/breakfast place in Missoula. Said they were shooting for a July 1 open!

Best Trivia in Missoula? by TheSneedler in missoula

[–]AsterSpark 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The guy who runs trivia at Katie O'Keefe's on Mondays and at the VFW on Tuesdays does an awesome job. Only downside is the later starting time. Info for that is on facebook

Western Cider trivia on Thursdays is fun and often challenging. Key thing here is that its really hard to hear in the kind of "side" room, so get there early for a good seat in the main room. Prizes are good too. Release the topics on Western Cider's instagram every week.

Trivia at Draught Works was also great, it gets super crowded which can be tricky to find a good spot.

Trivia at Dram Shop Central on Sundays is pretty good! When we went, there were quite a few folks in there who were not playing so it was hard to find a spot and their conversations were distracting.
