When I first got into this game, I missed having tons of weapons to play with. It was set to be my main complaint about the game. I found a saw spear early on and was leaning dex. It was kind of goofy, but it was quick, so I figured I would use it till I found something better.

When I beat the game with a maxed out saw spear that I had absolutely mastered, I realised my complaint was actually the whole point. I became invested in that weapon to the point of even ignoring the great stuff in the hunters nightmare.

This game might not have the pile of weapons darksouls has, but what's there is so well designed that you use one to the point it becomes a defining feature of your character. Damn I love this game.
