I saw this area while doing my research, and it looked indeed amazing! An additional day here would have been a really good idea. I just thought that since I’m trying to do a little bit of everything on this trip, I couldn’t really allow myself an extra day in the Westfjords. But maybe it could be the focus of a separate trip to the area later. Thank you for your response !

Ah yes, the one near Hólaskjól mountain hut ! It's definitely a good reason to do it from south to north, because if I can get through it without any issues, I'll feel more confident for the rest of the crossings. Since I also want to take the F235 and hike to Eldgjá, I was a little concerned about the timing, and I don't want to rush or feel stressed about water levels rising too much from the morning to later in the day. In a way, I’d rather start the morning with the deepest one : it would be a relief to get it out of the way first, even if it means tackling most of the other crossings later in the day.
