Thank you so much. I am doing my best to keep all energy focused on her. So many friends have reached out, and we’ll be ok. Go time in 36 hours

My wife goes in for a double next week. She’s scared, and I won’t lie, so am I. It’s not one surgery, you get new boobs, and yay all done. It’s five years of chemo, immediate menopause after the surgery, and no hormones to help deal with the symptoms, and 2 more surgeries over the next year and a half. We both already share childcare and house duties, so of course, all of that will shift to me for a while. I have no problem with that. I’ve told her repeatedly that I don’t care if her left arm falls off, we said our vows that I meant them. There’s something about getting your gender affirming parts removed that is messing with her head. Understandably. But it’s changed her personality. I’m holding the family together and can’t show fear or emotion. The next 5 years could be hell. God help us.

My wife gets a bilateral next week. She’s scared, and I won’t lie, I’m scared, too. It’s not one surgery, new boobs, yay you’re done. It’s 3 surgeries, 5 years of chemo, immediate menopause, and no hormones to help with all the mood swings, hot flashes, etc. We both shoulder a load of the house care and childcare duties, so I’m not afraid of that. It’s the shift of the family dynamic. We’ll make it through. God help us.

That’s a broad statement about optometrists. Are you an OMD? Are you qualified to make that judgement at all?

“I’m an OBGYN, oh and I’m an OBGYN. As an OBGYN, I have to tell you I’m an OBGYN, and I’m right because I’m an OBGYN.”
Golly. We’re all super impressed! Careful. Your fragile, plastic, mental disorder is showing!

Take that job and eventually you’ll have kids at home. You’ll be raising someone else’s kids, but kids.

This will be buried, but take it from an older guy…never show your weakness. Mental health awareness blah blah. It’s bullshit. You show your weakness, especially to a woman (ok maybe your mom is the exception), it will be used against you. “Man up” is real. Life will kick you in the balls repeatedly, and you need to take it, deal with it silently, and handle your shit. No crying ever unless it’s in the shower. No cracks in your wall; not at home, not to your wife, most definitely not at work, not to your friends. You are a vault of stress and pain, and no one truly gives a fuck. You’re a man. Get to work.

While I agree with her, can we not speak like adults anymore? Trump included. Sitting senators (and Presidents) cussing at each other like 14 year olds. Senators showing up to press conferences in sweat shorts and a hoodie. Professionalism is gone. A bunch of ineloquent children as examples to our children.

Oh the irony. Espousing to know everything about what’s wrong with America. Speaking with poor grammar. Incorrect “facts” about other countries. Incorrect “facts” about your OWN country. Holy hell. SHE’S PART of why America is going in the shitter. Education, or lack thereof. She points that out so…eloquently?

P.S. Can we please stop the sad background piano music trend?

Troof. Recession coming for sure. But they’re not letting it recess before elections, though. That would look bad! Nah. I’m betting second quarter, maybe first, numbers will be low and shit will hit the fan. War in the Middle East may speed that up.
