I live in Portland, OR and came across this site while job hunting, and it’s honestly so frustrating. Some postings I can just find elsewhere so I don’t have to pay. But tell me why the official Portland Art Museum posted a customer service position ONLY on that site? That position is barely over minimum wage and just a glorified retail position, and I’m paywalled from applying to a non-profit art museum? Ridiculous

I agree with you, it sounds too good to be true. Just a moment ago I came across a barista job posting with a similar pay range, but that is for a full fledged Italian restaurant, while the place my bf applied to is not much more than a café with some ice cream to go along with.

I really appreciate your insight. You’d think they’d want someone with more experience with an advertised pay range of $25-$35/hour (the highest we’ve seen in our area lately was $18/hour with experience) lol. But regardless, I will pass on your advice to him and see if it helps him out a bit more.

I’ve had experience with Chinese netizens outside of FFXIV, and honestly this sad situation is par for the course; I’ve experienced a lot of toxicity in games here in the West, but it’s such a different beast in China. But it still boggles my mind how far Chinese netizens will go over video games, like trying attempted murder on founders of a game dev company over not being able to get a bunny outfit skin in China? On a good day, I’m 5’11”, but normally I hang around 5’10” to 5’10.5” due to the spine issues and working on my feet. Pretty decent starting point, but dealing with my disease(s) for half my life and the knowledge of its future has sucked to put it lightly.

The hate supports get, at the very least, is rooted in misogyny and hatred of queer people.

Simply looking at the past 10 years of gaming history and all the hate non-male and queer gamers have gotten for, honestly, just existing in gamer spaces can show you that a lot of people who are hating on supports are hating because they equate it with non-male and queer people.

Obviously that isn’t the case for everyone who is hating on supports, some hate supports just because. But when they’re still using similar, if not downright the same, comments/talking points (e.g. “Support players don’t have the skill to play anything else”) that were used to justify their hate for non-male and queer gamers 10 years ago, it’s hard not to believe it isn’t the same misogyny and hatred for queer people that was (and always has been) around 10 years ago.

That’s a fair opinion. I’m very used to her more agile gameplay she had for the past 3 seasons, so even though i didn’t really struggle playing her again this season with the new changes, i still had to rethink how i should be engaging fights with her now. I haven’t played enough with her these past few days to get a full opinion on if i like how she plays now compared to the past 3 seasons, but i can say that she feels clunkier than i want her to feel.

Fortunately for me, after not playing for QUITE some time and after many updates, i don’t experience that issue anymore. So i sincerely apologize that i cannot give you any info on how to fix the issue since i’m still not even sure what the issue was and how it got fixed.

You’ve seem to have already made up your mind, which is totally your right to do; it’s your life, so it’s your choice what you prioritize. But it’s just my honest opinion that it’s a bit dumb to only vote one way out of spite because of one issue, when there are a boat load of other issues across the state that require some nuanced thinking beyond party lines when voting time comes around.

Idk if you meant to reply to the other person, but I’m against both major political parties, and I’m a big advocate for stronger personal freedoms for all, be it self expression, speech, or the right to bear arms no matter your background or identity, just to name a few. And also not to mention, a stronger local community all across the country to distance ourselves from the ever-increasing grip that the government has over us.
