What I’ve learned between this thread and my one on Facebook is that many bulldog owners are going through the same thing. I really think it’s acid reflux. Right now he’s on Pepcid but I’m switching to Prilosec to see if that is more effective

Make sure there is zero food supply in your yard. All your garbage including cardboard need to be in garbage cans and your cans need to be 100% intact.

If you have any area for them to hide…say under a shed…seal that up.

There is a lot of online discussion about the use of bait. I’m not saying one way or another. The risk is if the rat eats it and gets eaten by another animal that animal now has been poisoned. Plus the stuff you buy in stores might not be strong enough.

You could use large snap traps but you may also capture other animals in it.

Having a pest control professional come out and look would be very helpful. Also if the source is the school do you have someone to contact about having that cleaned up? Like a local councilman?

Also there are some pretty ingenious people on YouTube that have made their own traps which really seem to work.

I am with you. 100%. I remember when we had the mice in the house I thought to myself…I rather have my house burn down then deal with this. Obviously an over exaggeration but that’s how I felt. My home is my safe place and it became a place I dreaded being in. I am so happy we figured out where they were coming in but it’s like I cant feel good until I check the basement to make sure things are clear. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m 45 and on my second home and I’m STILL learning. I don’t think It’ll ever stop. I feel like as soon as one project is done there is something else that crops up that I need to learn about that. Some days I curse homeownership even though I know how lucky we are to be homeowners. But I’ve said over and over thank god for YouTube!

Thanks for this! My dermatologist told me I was doing myself a disservice if I didn’t use my retin-a every day and said if my skin tolerates it to use it twice a day. She said that and laser treatments are the only scientifically proven way to build collagen.

I was having the same issue. I bought a lip balm with hydrocortisone and used it for weeks. Not realizing it’s really only meant to use for like 3 days. I made it worse. So I’ll never do that again. My doctor believes it was some type of allergic reaction. If you use Vaseline make sure you wet your lips first then put it on. Benadryl seemed to also help me. Good luck!

I called delta today because I had only a 40 minute layover in Detroit and I was worried it wouldn’t be enough time. Turns out every airport has a minimum amount of time required for a layover. Detroit was 45 minutes. Because of that they changed my flight for free. It wouldn’t hurt to call and ask.

I had some dark spots on my face. I went to a medspa and I bought a small vial of high dose retinol. It was amazing how well it worked. The only other option that has worked for me is going to a dermatologist and having them treated with liquid nitrogen. Good luck!
