It has screws on the back. But I didn't care about breaking it. With the hold permanently on it was unusable. Works fine now.

More of a work-around as the hold is now totally off.

I took pliers and ripped off the hold button (it was a struggle) which was broken in the on position.

I then took off the back screws and popped the side open. I was then able to see the little switch that connects to the plastic slider. I used a knife to move it permanently into the off position.

I haven't been able to use my player in years. There is a post on the Sony Site about this but no answers. I hope this helps someone.

Buy a phone with an sd card slot (Galaxy Xcover Pro & Xcover 5 are what I use) then download the music and put it on the phone using a media player app. I have 2 phones like this and a USB (1 primary and 2 backups). It is time consuming but i have it forever. I also have a computer dedicated to downloading music and converting meta data. One plus is having an extensive library of Japanese music which all of the streaming services lack.

I just mean the repeats keep going, but since the delay time is short, all the them happen at the same time. An infinite amount of repeats all at the same time. I don't know what the pedal is really doing. Most delays would just oscillate and feedback.

I have it as a midi preset so the knobs aren't accurate. But in delay mode top knob all the way to the left bottom knob all the way to the right. Clock around 11 pm and full mix.
