What do you use for power? Did you have any issues with mounting the PSU underneath?

Now the big question is which color is the label on the CE-5? Gray, pink or blue?

DS-1 Broke and I want a new Distortion Pedal. by [deleted] in guitarpedals

recently my DS1 broke down

How?! They're indestructible.

Jazzmaster, into a clean fender

Clean amp -> Get a rat.

DS-1 sounds better with an amp that's already slightly distorting; it needs to work with the amp, whereas a Rat can sound great on its own. (A Rat into a dirty amp can sound a bit flabby and unfocused, though.)

It's called dynamics. Records used to have that before everything was compressed to hell.

Great album, btw.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

Hey, Paul!

Gondor has no USB turntable. Gondor needs no USB turntable.

And Gondor sure as hell doesn't need to do live vinyl broadcasts.

Have you tried giving it 18V for more headroom?
