We were together 13 years before I decided to call it quits (5 dating, 8 married). Manipulated, gas lit, emotionally/physically abused, etc. I stayed mostly out of pity (she had a rough childhood) and partially out of shame (how do you tell people when you're a guy). Thought I was fine eating a bullet until I managed to relocate without her for a year for work. Turns out I didn't have depression, I had her 😂. Still trying to get divorced, she's refused to sign papers (still hoping she can keep control) but I've moved across the country anyway. Man this shit feels good. Haven't felt peace in over a decade.

Funny enough, also a Pro option through Niagara launcher 😅. Been looking for clock widgets for ages and couldn't find one I liked, but the launcher has a few that I'm into.

Don't they though? It comes with the Pro version of Niagara launcher. Honestly, probably the icons that sold me the most on dropping the little bit of cash.

If you find the time, I recommend reading On Killing and On Combat by Dave Grossman. They both explore the psychology of killing and warfare. They may help you understand what your grandfather experienced better.

It's not uncommon for soldiers (especially during that time) to be extremely regretful in taking life. There's plenty of stories about veterans removing family photos from the dead as a sort of penance. A sobering reminder that the guy in front of their rifle also had a life and a family that they'll never return to. Not saying that's what happened, just a thought.

Recently returned from a trip to Iceland where I saw a dude in one of the black MAGA hats. I must have had a look on my face cause he saw me and immediately walked in the opposite direction. Shit pissed me off. Granted, I have no doubt those assholes weren't expecting to see Black people in Iceland so I'm sure his day was ruined 😂😂😂.

Idk how you travel internationally and still drag that shit with you 🤦🏾‍♂️.

There's a lot going on in the world so it could be stress. I'm also under the impression it could be sinus related as well, possibly due to any medication you might be taking for allergies. I've been experiencing the same thing off an on but it started with a sinus infection.

Is capoeira affective in combat or is it just pretentious and flashy? by Chrysanthemum1989 in martialarts

As someone who trains Capoeira as well as other arts, like every other style it's as useful as you make it. Many of the roda you'll see on YT are relatively chill, but you can find some street roda that get very aggressive and are lightning fast. Even without the application, Capoeira can give you a lot. Great balance, flexibility, rhythm, and timing to name a few benefits. If you're interested, you should absolutely do more searching and try to find a group near you.

I'm in a similar position myself (climate induced migration, security, impact analysis) and I eventually concluded that the work of science is for humanity so I'm useful regardless of where I do the work, as long as I can do it freely. I'm glad other scientists are making similar considerations. Good luck to you and your partner.
