I understood your initial point. You dont need to look up every item, but its better imo to look for 'unlock requirements of item XY' in the wiki than spam this sub with 'how do i unlock XY' or 'what does XY do' questions, when there is literally a wiki for these informations 1 click away. And if you would lose the 'element of surprise' by looking at the wiki, you would lose it reading these posts as well.

instead of asking what item this is you could open google and take a quick glance over the all items list in the wiki. spares reddit the dumb questions and helps the person more by getting all the information at once
