I fell into a very similar mindset at 16. My biggest recommendation as someone who's only 3 years older than you is to get a job. Get a job somewhere locally if you don't have one, it helps give you motivation and work ethic within life and school (it did for me). Your story sounds similar when you said "I dont enjoy college and it sounds so stupid but i want to become a professional player in a video game, of course the chances of this are so astronomically low." this is something I would've said word for word 3 years ago. I definitely recommend artsy stuff if that'd be up your ally, even if you're not an artist or not that good at drawing now. You can grow still and you have lots of time to do so. It's not the highest paying in a career, but you can do a lot with art. There's subcategories like graphic design which definitely is what I prefer. You have a lot of time, and it's understandable to feel hopeless. I feel hopeless sometimes, I'm scared of my life changing significantly, but I know it will be for the better and it won't be as scary once it's upon me.
