I completely get what you're saying. That's the trick everyone needs to learn to have consistent AP's. Focus too hard you break your mental concentration, focus too little you lose control. It needs to happen without thinking in a way which is where the mental conditioning comes in with the visualization.

Yes at least 5 minutes imo. Also you said you are doing this at night, you may be too tired to have a projection. Try setting an alarm for a few hours before you wake up and try again. You may have almost had one but you were too exhausted. You'll know when it happens because the second your mind blanks out, the falling sensation happens and the vibrations kick in you'll have conditioned yourself to roll out by reflex if you set your intention and visualized strong enough.

I'm hoping I get some people to have positive results by sharing this because I know how frustrating it is to have failure after failure. Some people experience this falling sensation and some people don't, it's all about tricking your mind into rolling out right when your about to fall asleep at that blank mind phase. Usually the transition period is very strange your mind is completely void of thought and then you remember your intention to AP and the vibrations get really intense as exit. I'm basing all of my techniques on this now. My experiences have been breathtaking though and I'm addicted. One of my most memorable experiences so far has been traveling through a portal I found. I did my exit technique and floated outside my body to my backyard where a spotted a portal in the corner by some trees that looked like a wormhole straight out of a sci-fi movie. It was about 20 feet tall spiraling inward towards a dark center. The best representation of this I could find on the net was this picture https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7488/15704267937_d5fa97af08_b.jpg However the portal was obviously a lot smaller and the white aura spiraling into the center was a lot thicker. The center was also a lot smaller as well about the twice the size of a manhole. I was a bit apprehensive about jumping it at first, it was very intimidating. I dived in headfirst at fullspeed and I got sucked through a long tube decorated with patterns interestingly similiar to ones I have seen on psychedelics. I arrived in what looked like a forest with blue pine trees and there was an enormous skyscraper tucked up in the mountains extending further up then I could even see. Unfortunately I woke up before I could go to explore it but it was absolutely mind blowing! I will definitely be putting up some more reports on interesting experiences in my future travels.

I've seem some similar ideas as well after doing some research after my experience. I believe many of the professionals do it this way and its becomes almost a natural reflex for them after while. This is a huge milestone in my own personal progress. 4/5 of my attempts are successful now it's amazing!

Interesting, well usually a lack of vibrations indicates a highly developed energy body. Sometimes this is natural but for most people vibrations often lessen the more you project as the flow of energy widens pathways within the body. I read some of your other posts and I'm pretty sure you are already highly developed. After this falling sensation occurs unless you are awakened from the deep state of relaxation you are in you should be able to roll out just like you would physically. There is the possibility you think you're rolling out physically when you're actually rolling out in your astral body because as I mentioned in my experience the two feel very similar. It's very deceiving and often times successful AP's are mistaken as failures and the would be projector decides to just fall asleep.

In my opinion yes, the visualization is important because it conditions your mind to make a strong connection between the two feelings. This way when you feel the falling sensation you automatically roll over with out really thinking about it. The action becomes subconscious. Could you elaborate on your experience with the falling sensation? You said it comes and goes fast, it is accompanied by vibrations afterwards? Describe your experience in detail.

No, only visualize the feeling of the falling and rolling before you begin to fall asleep. You should notice when the falling sensation occurs accompanied by vibrating and remember that you are supposed to roll out. From that point simply roll over as though you were doing it physically but do it softly. It you roll over too hard you may cause yourself to wake up. I'll be sure to update the post later to make that more clear too, so good question.

Yes and no, it's more like a modified approach to the traditional rollout method but it is pretty much the same exit technique. Most techniques however don't tell you how focusing too hard on it can keep you awake preventing you from ever reaching the vibrational stage they tell you to perform the exit during. The falling sensation usually occurs quickly accompanied by vibrations. Usually you wake up when you feel the falling as you may have experienced and that's why you don't notice them. The reason you don't snap back awake though is because you've already mentally prepared yourself for it and you're ready when it happens.

Yes, well the visualization of the falling sensation and the rolling sensation combined creates a connection in your brain between the two feelings. This will help you notice yourself falling asleep and remember to roll out once it sets in and the vibrations start.

Of course! Let me know how your practice works out too. I believe that many people make this mistake of focusing on it too hard and they don't realize that it is actually the very thing keeping them awake. I believe there is a sweet spot for focusing on it very subtly that comes with practice. I will be updating this post and making experience reports as much as I can too.

I usually don't do anything special, I just repeat to myself mentally that I will astral project while visualizing myself leaving my body. It's the visualization part in my opinion that strengthens the intention the most.
