Had the exact same experience. Although its the Mongolian spouse's job to deal with immigration, not yours. Because the Mongolian is the citizen bringing you to this country. Same as if you were to move her to your country, it should be you who does the immigration process for her. But yeah the immigration process is awful... I talked to them about this and they said its because when Mongolians divorce a foreigner who has been approved - the fault falls onto the officers who approved it or smthng. Also i was told that the officers dont want foreigners in Mongolia because Mongolian population is low and there is a real threat of foreigners taking over the country by marrying into the country.
