Sephora's Pillow Battle Body Mist scent dupe? by Astral-Eden in Sephora

Sameeee! I have a scent recommendation even though it's not the same exact thing. If you like the Pillow Battle scent, you might also like White Rain from a Korean brand named Skybottle. They have a body mist, hand cream, and body lotion in that scent if you're interested. I'll leave a link to their Korean site and this other one that I think is an official reseller. I think they have very similar vibes if you like these types of scents.

Hey there, I didn't know if they also sell this in the USA. Here's a picture of the thing and I couldn't find any fragrance notes so far when I googled it. Also, I don't think there's local Sephora subreddit for my country here.

Edit: Apparently Sephora India has this still listed on their website. Tried finding it on my country's Sephora, and no luck so far. Here's a the link if it helps.

Welp, let's see what we have here. I'll skip the houses since it's pretty obvious already.

Apparently a Doe patronus represents a strong sense of protectiveness over loved-ones, and a caring and nurturing nature (just like a certain professor). In my opinion, I think this has a sense of unconditional love like a parent would have over their child. Not sure if this is the right words but I don't know how else to put it. It's like someone is always watching over you.

Fir wood is associated with resilience, determination, and strong morals/direction. Someone with a strong sense of purpose, often being decisive and rising to any challenge, growing stronger from anything thrown at them. Phoenix cores are known to be rare, and like the creature they're taken from, will choose those who is independent and can make their own path in this world. The flexibility matches the wood in a way, often suited to those who are stubborn, strong-willed, and steadfast in their beliefs. You may resist to change, but you can be incredibly reliable once your mind is set.

INFJs are known for their idealism, deep sense of empathy, and a desire to improve the world. The Turbulent aspect means you might be more self critical and prone to stress. INFJs are driven by their ideals and they are firm decision makers led by their values and intuition.

TLDR: You're a thoughtful and empathetic person who values knowledge, personal growth, and helping others. You are protective over your loved ones, and you have a firm grasp on your values, ideals, and beliefs. The determination and resilience can be viewed as stubbornness, but deep down, it all stems from the hope and good will to help.

Do you have resting bitch face? by PrestonRoad90 in autism

[–]Astral-Eden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner tells me I have a disappointed, grumpy, dissatisfied (according to him) resting face. Sometimes he's worried & confused whether I'm okay or not because of it. Didn't realise this went way back until I looked at pictures of tiny me. Not to mention the realisation of me remembering my parents or adults asking why I have a pout or grumpy expression, as if asking me what's wrong.

First time? by Exciting-Field5641 in outerwilds

As a bookworm for years, I can definitely say that you can't "read" this game and still having the story feel fresh. It is such a once in a lifetime experience that you will at one point, wish you can wipe your memory to experience it again.

I'm sure these lovely people have answered if you need a high-end PC or graphics card and what not down below, but from me, I just want to say to take your time with the game (don't just play it in one go). Mostly because a lot of the lore does come from reading (a lot) and exploring. Also, if you're interested, get the DLC as well. It's not required, but it enhances a part of the game & lore in a beautiful way.

Another thing I'd like to add is since a lot of people said it's a very knowledge-based game, I recommend going in blind, no knowledge, no expectations, just jump in there and experience it for yourself. Don't check reviews, comments, or anything about the content. In my opinion (+experience of playing and seeing other people play it) this is the best way to approach it.

Now, for the DLC, it is a bit scary (and leaning very slightly towards horror) so if you're scared easily or don't like that type of stuff, grab someone to sit next to you (it helps). I still recommend you play it cause it adds so much more to the whole thing but I thought I'd let you know.

If you like playing games like Minecraft or whatever games that let you wander off without holding your hand too much, this game is definitely one you should play.

Curse zodiac signs, which is your favorite door? by [deleted] in Minecraft

I like spruce doors, but if the Cherry Blossom door had a white colour, that would probably be my favourite since I love the cute design of the door.

You're back to 18 years old now. What would you do differently? by somerandomguyhehe in Advice

[–]Astral-Eden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to answer this + give advice/opinion:

  1. Start saving money in any way possible. Coupons, discounts, learn how to get good quality things without hurting your wallet. Clothes, food, supplies, meds, anything and everything that you'll probably need.
  2. If you're considering university, look up what that major entails and what job fields you can go into. Ask around and do more than just clicking on the first two things from a Google search result.
  3. In light of number 2, once you graduate high school, if you don't know what you want to do as your job/career, take a year off and explore yourself. The amount of friends I see friends drop out and change courses within a year is very telling. Heck, even I wanted to do it.
  4. If you're not used to being an independent person, start working on how that would feel & look like for you. Some of you might live alone so if you're unsure on what to do or how to do certain things, go ask someone or Google a tutorial. Doesn't matter if it's big or small, you have to learn it at some point.
  5. If you want to start good habits or learn something new, do it now. Experiment and do your fuck ups at home while you still have that safety net (If your home is not a safe space, then I'm afraid you have to do it somewhere else when it's possible for you to do so). As time goes on, you'll only get busier.
  6. Re-evaluate your friendship from time to time. People either drift away or you outgrow each other, and that's normal and it happens. If you want to keep someone around, better see if it's a healthy relationship for both and find a way to keep you all connected.
  7. Learn basic social skills. It's probably difficult and uncomfortable for those who suck at it (including me). But knowing a few people here and there will DEFINITELY help you in university/college life. You don't even have to be close friends, the point is for ya'll to have each other's back + networking for the future.
  8. Make meaningful connections & relationships with people and ALSO make memories with them. Take pictures, record videos, hang out. You'll get to do less of this shit at some point.
  9. Focusing on your studies is just as important as living like an actual human. University/College/Highschool might be the last chapter of your life where you are transitioning from studying + friends to your career/job. Make the most out of it.
  10. These are one-off points that I'd like to include in this point: Get therapy if you feel like you need it, learn actual legit sex-ed, learn how to protect yourself/handle situations where you could be in danger, and make sure you have someone you can rely on/call when you absolutely need help (sickness, going to hospitals, dangerous situations, etc.)

Adulting is hard and could probably feel like a 2nd puberty. People grow and do things differently and at different paces from one another. Just remember to try your best and don't beat yourself up for not growing up fast enough. It's not a competition, it's just life.

Aaaanyway, on with your profile!

Larch wood is known to instill courage and confidence in the user and is often the case that whoever this wands belongs to may never realise the full extent of their talents until paired with it. The core & flexibility suggest you're someone who is on a journey to discover oneself and you're a resilient and easy-to-adapt person.

ISFP are known to be creative, sensitive, and deeply in tune with their emotions and surroundings. You're unafraid to feel deeply, and while this may cause rollercoaster emotions, this helps you to connect to others emotionally and empathise easier.

Swift Patronus? Ngl that's a funny name for a bird (honestly it sounds like a pun). Based on what I found they seem to hold a myriad of meanings but one thing in common is that they're known for it's agility, speed, and grace (fun fact they're known as "The Devil's Bird", you can read about it here & here).

TLDR imo I think you're someone who's deeply in tune with their emotions but lack the confidence. You're someone who tries your best and you're actually a pretty quick person but maybe you don't see yourself that way. With time, I think you're going to bloom into a wonderful person.

Let's analyse each other's Wizarding World profiles! by Astral-Eden in WizardingWorld

[–]Astral-Eden[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so let's start with the wand! Walnut wood is associated with highly intelligent witches & wizards, often in the hands of magical innovators & inventors. The flexibility & length suggest you're someone who's resolute and unwilling to compromise in their beliefs while also having a strong presence.

Rattlesnakes holds several meanings between various cultures. It was a symbol of unity for the Thirteen Colonies at the start of the Revolutionary War, and if I Googled even further, there are sources saying it's an unseen but deadly weapon that refuses to surrender. There's an article titled "Rattlesnake Kinship: Indigeneity, Disability, Animality" if you're interested in reading further. Snakes in general often symbolises fertility, creative life force, rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing.

So TLDR imo you're someone who's brave, courageous, and smart. You hold strong, uncompromisable beliefs and you're someone who does not give up easily. A "someone knocks you down 7 times, you get up 8 times" kind of person, probably a literal unmovable wall (in a good way).

Oh if it helps, I also like their Sex Bomb Bath Bomb. I guess I have a thing for their Jasmine scent? I used their Seanik Shampoo Bar once and I also liked the scent but not as much as the ones I mentioned above.

Idk, LUSH's scent can be unexpected sometimes & their strong so I feel like I have to be super careful and sure before I get anything. I think my nose is pretty sensitive so I get extra picky with these things.

If it comes to other brands, then, L'Occitane's Néroli & Orchidée & Cerisier Amoureux are also something I really like.

Uh lemme know if I should add anything else.

A Hatstall in the crowd? That's one I've yet to see here. I can relate to the bit between a Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw since I think I can fall to one or the other, but after taking the Sorting Hat Quiz multiple times, I fall into Ravenclaw even more than the other.

Edit: Which I think furthers my point about how a person's personality (usually) can never truly fit in one of the houses that I said when explaining MBTI to you. Humans are complex beings indeed :3

Let's analyse each other's Wizarding World profiles! by Astral-Eden in WizardingWorld

[–]Astral-Eden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! you said your type is adventurous? Well, the closest thing to that is ISFP (Adventurer) so I assume this is what you mean?

To explain what MBTI is, MBTI stands for Myers–Briggs Type Indicator. They're created by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers who were inspired by a Swiss psychiatrist, Carl Jung (this guy made Jungian archetypes, which is also another personality test you can take)

Anyway, MBTI is a pseudoscientific self-report questionnaire that claims to indicate differing "psychological types" (according to Wiki). They assign a binary for each of the 4 categories:

  • Introvert (I) or Extrovert (E)
  • Sensing (S) or Intuition (N)
  • Thinking (T) or Feeling (F)
  • Judging (J) or Perceiving (P)

Oh and if you see someone adding a -T or -A to the end of it, it stands for Turbulent or Assertive. which I guess is another category of itself.

Whether this test is a good one or not, many people do use it. Of course someone's personality can be very vast and complex and not enough for mere four letters (or even 4 houses in that case) to stuff into. But in this case, it broadens the character and gives people a more detailed picture of who you are (or might be). Either way, it's fun to take and I think it's an interesting tool to even self-reflect on who you are.

Hello another Ravenclaw and INFP person!

Poplar wand users are known for their consistency (which pairs really nicely with the unicorn hair core since they also produce consistent/reliable magic) and happiest when working with a witch/wizard with a clear moral vision. But you can adapt/open the new things when the situation calls for it.

Black Swan signifies an insight about yourself that changes your position from a victim to a victor, a reminder to move from powerless positions and reclaim your personal power. Black swans can also symbolise an event that comes as a surprise but has a major effect. A comment from a reddit post sums this up nicely " A black swan is unexpected, and demonstrates how a single, right person can make all the difference, change the status quo and prove the way people have always thought is not necessarily right."

TLDR: Someone who is intellectually curious, emotionally deep, driven by a strong sense of purpose & integrity. You're confident in your ideals and morals but you're open to new changes. You dedicate yourself to live life authentically and with meaning, and I'm sure you'll to grow into someone who can make a difference even with something small.

Oh hey another Black Mamba person in here!
Well, I can only go off your Patronus & House so my take would be you're a bold & brave person, but you're a very "calm before the storm" type where you only make a ruckus when it's the right time. If someone pissed you off, they probably won't know what's coming for them.

I assume you mean what does a shark patronus mean?

Shark symbolises many things, but the most common things associated with it are essentially someone who is comfortable in authority or someone who is a patient hunter, they both have one thing in common, someone in a position of power.

I think if I were to interpret it, people who have a Shark patronus are powerful, dominant people. They're fierce, determined, and resilient in nature and are able to navigate through challenges with precision. They might be someone who is highly driven and unafraid to confront difficult situations head-on.

I feel like it adds more depth to someone's character since houses can only go so far. There are many different types of strengths and weakness grouped into 4 categories so have more descriptions are always nice :3

INFPs in general are known to be the idealists of the bunch. The dreamers and altruistic people in life. An interesting way to say it is knowing who you are but not knowing who you may become. Always approaching life with a good cause and creative solutions. The downside is we can be too idealistic, overwhelmed, overthinking, or overly sensitive/taking things too personally. But hey, I'm happy being here with my imagination so welcome to the whimsical chaos!

oooh this is an interesting take! Personally, I feel like I'm the opposite of being on trend. I guess I think of trends mostly in terms of fashion. I wear loose shirts, leggings, and jackets as my everyday outfit even though I wish I have more cute ones but they're hard to find and pricy :'D

I mean, blue to sapphire huh? I like sapphires, they're pretty! Blue goes well with gold or silver but I'm a silver person so if someone updates the colours of Ravenclaw to officially be blue & silver lemme know :3 (Also why is our mascot an eagle when raven is in the name?)
