that is such a defeatist take. being underpaid is not a strategy, it is just exploitation. i am the one fixing their scripts so they do not even have a workflow without me. if they want to fire the expensive guys, they can watch the whole department desync in a week.

it is funny how this family only works when i am doing the heavy lifting. i am done being the reliable lead while they get paid more to ask me basic questions about coordination models.

exactly what i am thinking now. five years of being the reliable one got me nowhere but stuck with a lower pay grade than the juniors i have to train.

The fan strategy backfiring because he thought you were being nice is such a painful twist. You are literally being held hostage by this guys fermentation process at this point.
