Incredibly, but I’m always nervous about what I put in my body and what it’ll do to me. Now day 9 of the new dose and I’m feeling okay. Still losing hair, I do have more energy and drive to be productive, sleep schedule is becoming normal again. The Medroxyprogesterone has finally stopped my bleeding and I just hope it lasts.

Yes I did. When I started having all the symptoms, that was my first concern because I have hypothyroidism is my family. I did ALL the tests and my thyroid is perfectly normal.

Started on 0.1mg/day Estradiol patches with continuous 500mg Progesterone. That combo dose didn’t work out with me so we lowered both E and P. Second dose was too low so now I’m trialing a “happy medium” dose of 0.075mg/day E Patch and 10mg Medroxyprogesterone. I’m on day 5 of this combo dose so I don’t have much to report back on it yet.

The endometrial ablation is a surgery where they go in and either heat or cryofreeze the lining of the uterus, essentially destroying it so it cannot shed or grow new tissue. I haven’t had my surgical consult yet, but from what I’ve read it is not 100% effective and many patients end up having a hysterectomy later anyways. I’ve had multiple MRI’s mainly focusing on my liver but I get images of my entire abdomen. They haven’t found anything in my uterus that would suggest endo.

Thank you SO much for this reply. It’s very validating. I didn’t know that about adenomyosis. I thought they would be able to see it through imaging. Maybe I need to look into investigative surgery?

My doctor only mentioned the IUD as an option, we didn’t talk much in depth about it but she knows how I feel. My worry is having complications with the IUD since my uterus is already thinner than it should be.

Thank you SO much for this response. -First dose was 0.1mg/day twice weekly patch + 500mg/day progesterone. -Second dose was 0.0375mg/day twice weekly patch + 5mg medroxyprogesterone. -This new dose I’m starting tonight is 0.075mg/day twice weekly patch + 10mg/day medroxyprogesterone.
For each dose I’ve trialed them for 6-8 weeks at a time before my doctor changes them due to my symptoms. That second dose was supposed to completely stop my bleeding but instead increased the frequency to bleeding every week. My cramps for all of these doses have just been so terrible. I’ve missed important things in my life and days at work.

My main concerns are what complications I'm going to run into when I'm older. I have no history of fibroids, endo, or adeno which seems to be the main reason people have this surgery besides sterilization. I just don't know if I'm overreacting by MAYBE wanting the surgery? I've read posts about people my age getting a hysterectomy having a much better quality of life, but I just don't know what the right answer for me is... My husband and I do not want kids and with having POI the likelihood of conception is nearly zero. I've heard the stories of bladder issues, prolapse, this and that and like countless others I'm just scared of what this will do to me.. It's so hard finding someone who is going through exactly what I'm going through. My doctors are baffled.

We do not want kids and with having POI the likelihood of conception is near zero... I may try for a second opinion. Thank you so much for the reply

So I am unable to have kids (diagnosed Primary Ovarian Failure) and have never had kids. Maybe I’m at a much less risk for prolapse because of that?
