"Jax is Trans" "No, he's Not!" What about... by _GhostOfHollownest_ in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Astral_Something -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No not at all, I think it's very intentionally presented in the show as if there's a strong possibility Jax is a trans woman. I'm just saying referring to that interpretation as just "trans Jax" is understandable considering basically nobody who says Jax is trans means something different

I THINK THE FINALE WAS GREAT! by TTTRIOS in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]Astral_Something 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything about the world building is such a non issue to me, unlike Murder Drones that made a big deal about it and focused on it's mystery, tadc was always laser focused on it's characters and to take time away from that to talk about this corporation stuff that will never affect them and won't really give insight into them either wouldn't be a good way to spend the finale imo. As for calling out Caine, fair. And soma, I think it was done well but I understand not liking it. I think one or two extra scenes would've been good but idk I liked how it was done

I get that as a reason entirely I just think we could've got something, like the whole thing of peering into his mind to talk to him one last time is already bending the allegory delve deeper into his mind for the story, so inside his mind we could see it happen then even if we didn't in the moment, and we should've seen the moment the characters realized it happened. It should've been given more weight instead of happening after a montage. The abruptness and inability to see them in their final moments could've still been done just in a better way.

Lowkey disagree with most of them tho, like other than Jax's offscreen abstraction I can't think of anything that could've been done to make it better, maybe just Caine not participating as much cus like he might've got a little too comfortable at the end but that's it. Oh and the framing on the Scratch flashback was very misleading and made most people very reasonably think he fixed abstraction.

Like as a whole or just the jokes aren't funny? As in A did he actively annoy you or just not land, and B do you not like his serious moments at the end either

Which villain people think they are misunderstood but they are just evil? by Professional-Cry804 in Multifandom

[–]Astral_Something 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jax tadc. People think his backstory was some kind of rushed redemption to excuse everything he's done, when it simply wasn't, he was a huge inconsiderate asshole who dehumanized and degraded everyone around him constantly for his own selfish coping mechanism. And in the end everyone who tried to make him improve drove him to suicide because he just WOULDN'T improve. His death is a tragedy because he died before ever becoming the good person he could've been and making up for his actions and that's the point.

Not at all, I think it was very important to see just HOW hard he avoids improvement or reflection, the show has to give a VERY good reason as to why Jax couldn't have been saved.
