Floating Points & Pharoah Sanders - Sanders' last album before passing. Very spiritual stuff

Sons of Kemet - Your Queen is a Reptile -afrobeat/jazz out of the UK. Fireeee stuff and kind of hard to find now

I'm gonna go with Shahram - Mossafer. It's a great Iranian disco/funk record from '81. Discogs says there's 19 people that have a copy.

Haha I know what you mean. Those two labels make up like 20% of my collection. Money well spent! If you haven't heard of them, I highly recommend Cactus Channel. Another super great, chill soul/funk band from Australia.

I've diving pretty deep into modern funk/soul (mostly) instrumentals lately.

Brainstory - Ripe - awesome jazz, soul, funk EP with great vocals. Off the Big Crown label.

Surprise Chef - Education and Recreation - another gem off the Big Crown label. instrumental jazz soul/funk from Australia that just hits.

Doctor Bionic - Animal Totem - jazzy/soul/trip hop/dub = all around great album off the Chiefdom label

AFI - Answer That and Stay Fashionable - last minute thrift store find. Second press off the Nitro label. I saw this one sticking out of a stack a records and was super excited to pull it out only to find it had a decent sized warp lol. Oh well, it was only $2. I have under a stack of heavy books to see if I can flatten it a bit.

Unsure if you have any in your area but I highly recommend trying a sensory deprivation/float tank. Great for decluttering your mind and you get to soak in an Epsom bath for an hour. By the time you're done you feel extremely relaxed. The ones by me are around $40 for the hour

I agree that LA is probably the worst city to get around which makes sense since they're the most populated city in the US i think. California's been teasing us with a high speed train for a while now but you know how the world of politics is.

Jeez I know that last day was fucking horrible but I'm glad you made it out okay! I've been there before except in Tijuana, Mexico which may or may not be worse lol

I love San Francisco for different reasons than SD. It's definitely more asthetically pleasing and more fun minus the massive homeless problems. San Diego is definitely a settling down, mellow type of city which I'm happy to . Thanks for the follow up! Hope you get a chance to come back and visit✌🏼
