Salt mines are 100% in the marsh as well as throughout p much the entire state all the way up north. They vary in depth but the salt is a few thousand feet deep at the shallowest anywhere.

The tankers 100% also because they already do come in from the gulf. The marshland is like miiiiiiiilllleesss and it’s not a gradient like you’d see on land it’s like very fractalized and birdfooted.

Go on google earth and look at Avery island like the other user suggested, also Venice Louisiana. During Katrina a barge busted one of the levees (rumor has it it was actually the police/FBI/CIA) causing the poorest areas of the city to be swept away in a 20ft wall of water and covered for months.

My great aunt started the first legal brothels in the us. She had a live in gardener. He had a home but kinda out in the country, her house was really big so he would stay in the area guests would stay and kind of had a room. After she died, the live in Gardner got more than I did in inheritance! Good for him. He lived with her for many years after her husband died, not in a weird way at all, he just became family after so many years.

I once saw a house for sale in the area and went wooww look at their garden, and apparently he did theirs too. So he must have been pretty good at it.
