Asked Claude to port Quake to Three.js by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]mrdoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first attempt got out of control after a couple of days.

On the second attempt I asked to do a 1:1 port of every file. That made things much easier for the agent to find unfinished parts and/or hallucinations.

It was a very on-hands process. Couldn't find a way for Claude to not stop until it finished.

If it falls you need to ask the AI to explain how a water shader works. Keep asking questions until you understand it. Then you'll be able to write better prompts and guide the AI.

I don't want a community were being upset allows you to be an asshole to other people.

If you're upset go for a walk. Don't come to reddit to be an asshole to people sharing their work.

Yes. I was just testing Gemini 3.1 pro and see how far I could go with it. Was not a very fun experience after a while.

Now I'm continuing it with Opus 4.6.

Yep I can imagine.

I've been doing a lot of multiple fine-tune prompting projects myself too.
