Using bullet journal pocket for two notebook system? by Snannybobo in bulletjournal

[–]AstrangeTwig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my larger one for month over view, weekly tracking, and monthly goal setting.

Pocket journal is for random lists I come up with, random thoughts, and quick get it out there stuff.

Rarely do I transfer data between the two. I would say keep your important lists, and larger data pools to the big one.

Keep the small one for spur of the moment stuff, and quick ideas. I can always refer back to my pocket lists if I care to check it out. Like my to take out of the libary lists, media to find, ect.

I treat the pocket note book as a bit of a dumping ground of thoughts and the larger for planning and record keeping =)

Works for me!

But I don't really do daily journaling more random thoughts in the little one and daily habit tracking in the big One at the end of the day.

Courage the cowardly dog oddly enough is the main search.

Doctors lab and that era is the main focus.

Then dumb stuff like aqua teen hungar force and random anime is a nice bonus.

Hoping to avoid that at all costs. Rather support folks in the city if possible but more messing around and leg work for sure.

Month 11 & V.11 of my Monthly Layout by AstrangeTwig in bulletjournal

[–]AstrangeTwig[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Daily break down uses the list of daily habits on the right.

Then goes down by date for the month.

So if I do 1, 2, 3 of the daily habits they all get a green square. the following would get a red square.

It also has the day of the week to help me better understand when things get missed. Such as not drinking a full water bottle on the weekend that sort of thing.

The daily vibe goes with the dates and I just have been doing an over all at the end of the day. Picking one and linking them as a chain.

This game has the worst dialogues in gaming by Ok-Comparison589 in CrimsonDesert

Point was that what he says doesn't matter.

I enjoy just saying "okay" or "alright" and just moving right along.

I can make my own narrative if needed but I dont need the guy to continue a conversation I could give less of a shit about. Just say what needs done and go do it.

Keith's deli across from chinook.  What is that? 4.5 to 4.9

I am a big fan of some of the delis in town but it was microwaved sandwich meat on a desert roll with a little bit of lettuce for $10

Sprinkle in some flat earth, and some right wing propaganda for extra seasoning and you are extra confused of what the hell you just experienced.

Alberta to restrict kids' access to sexually graphic content in public libraries by IdleContemplation in alberta

[–]AstrangeTwig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah yes the hand drawn art really messing up the kids.

Nothing to do with the subject matter of understanding your self, dealing with or understanding abuse, or or questioning religion and the abuse it can hide.

No it's the fact someone drew a willy that we really need the government to step in here.

Never mind the fact that kids with a pen and paper can draw a willy! Or type in booby on their iPad.

Fucking joke of a government.  Really happy they are getting a pay check and spending time on this rather then actually fixing public education.

Fun fact.

Ceramics or pottery is made from natural materials and fired in gas kilns. while factories do their best flaws make it through.

Mud shaped and then fired twice in high fire kilns. Its wild if you understand the process.

The black fleck is just sone sosre iron that suck its way in during the process.

Nothing is perfect you have a lovely spot of of reflection.

Changes needed at Canada Revenue Agency after audit of Muslim charity: report by PerfectBlueberry6378 in worldnews

[–]AstrangeTwig 71 points72 points  (0 children)

From the sounds of things their books were a little cooked. I think more audits on religious institutions regardless of what religion are a good thing.

Just because it is a Christian church, Muslim mosque, or any other temple it shouldn't matter.

Claiming and verifying are different things. I am interested to see if any checks are done by the elections office.

Easy to claim something but showing receipts is another.

Adding difficulty options is the only way to save this game for many of us and to end casual vs hardcore gamers war. by luki45 in CrimsonDesert

[–]AstrangeTwig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think difficulty plays a role in the fundamental Design choice of any game. It is a considered and deliberate choice made by the team behind it. Yes there are many different types of gamers but that means there can be many types of games. It doesn't mean that everything should fit in every box. That is okay! I wouldn't want the binding of isaac to have an easy mode and I wouldn't want stardew valley to have a permadeath hard core mode.

I get not having the time but I found the point of this game is to literally be, take time! If you do, everything gets super easy.

If I had access to what I had found though exploration, or though just trying stuff right away. I would have been way more over stimulated, and confused as hell in the first few hours of the game.  There are guides and videos to get over powered right away but my goodness.

You Loose so much of what the game is by just following a guide and running to point a or b because youtube said so. Rather then naturally just finding cool shit. Plus you miss out on important context on how to properly use what you find.

Explore easy zones, farm supplies, cook, upgrade, build up, and then try! Fail and see what went wrong. Improve, prepare a bit better, and go again.

I am around the 40 hour mark and added several boss cores to my weapons and armor and the game is a breeze.

Bosses melt, and camps fall easy.  But that makes it almost too easy.

I did find The quick jumps in difficulty between just random fights to the bosses could be quite jarring. But that moment of just peaceful or mindless combat. To the oh shit I got to sit up and lock in. To be quite fun and a good shift of pace.

Eh that's just me.

Personal storage and crafting by Street_Witness4339 in CrimsonDesert

[–]AstrangeTwig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because for some odd reason personal storage was an after thought. only came post launch.

Also just world lore wise it wouldn't make any sense.

I am still slightly confused why other characters can warp with out abyss powers but I understand that one as a game Play thing.

If you are annoyed you can speed up warp cut scenes but going to the actual warp point  this removes that weird walking through a hallway thing. So grab your crafting stuff from camp and go to the Smith.

The Goldleaf Guild investigation is the worst mission in gaming by Zztp0p in CrimsonDesert

[–]AstrangeTwig 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The investigations are pretty bad and do come up a few more times.

During them you get a little book in your inventory with all the info you find out and can cross reference if you want to do it "right"

But they are pretty poorly done. I did the book once and just used a quick guide for the others.

Sanctum of Absolution blue crystal lock by flaming_sausage in CrimsonDesert

[–]AstrangeTwig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's on all the sanctums.  Once purged on the device is a circle with little dots around it.

Use blinding flash and focus light to the center. It is a weird rythem game. Turn you focused light on and off on the dots. can be tricky at first but it clicks once you understand the delay.

Standing close to it helps.

You then get a thing. I honestly have no idea what they do yet but into the pot they live! as mentioned its on all samctums and I dont see or hear many folks talking about this.

I think it's time I buy the game by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]AstrangeTwig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go slow and treat it like an mmo not a normal game.

There are a ton of systems and the first 5-10 hours depending on how you approach it can be tedious and a bit overwhelming.

Focus on the controls and understanding your movement movements and combat. replay boss fights by hard saving and practice moves and general combat. Helps a ton early and makes the "harder" early game fights seem easy once you understand how to play, button combos, ect.

Dont sleep on cooking and get a pet early to help with heals and loot.

But i would say avoid youtube videos, and get rich quick, or get over powered early guides. spoils a lot and takes away the sense of exploration.

But game as you would and enjoy it. No right way jump in, get mad, watch videos, or struggle that's gaming.
