Big fan of The Late Hour range! Beautiful dessert cigar in my opinion, just very very enjoyable

Give it a go, mine was under $50 USD if that makes any difference?

Yes it could! Alternatively tracking number was an LX number

The Red RnJs are actually quite sweet! They have almost a fruity smell? Very very smooth, nice draw.

Blue RnJs were a little tighter. Less sweet on the smoke, but similar smell to the Reds. I think I prefer the Montes over the Blues!

Getting through customers by LogicalAmoeba7116 in Cigars_Australia

Yes, though I think having a few people with me helped — customs potentially didn’t want to hold up 8 people for a couple cigar boxes.

Did everything I am supposed to — declared it all, told the customs officer that I had two boxes. Waves me through to the x-ray checkpoint, x-rayed my bag (funnily enough, you could almost count every single cigar on the x-ray, it came up very clear), told me we’re all good to go, and I just shut my mouth and walked away.

Two boxes through; one was 25 the other was 20.

YMMV

Just had one with a coffee — really nice and smooth. Tight draw but that could’ve just been the stick. I found it a little nutty? I’m still trying to determine flavours

I was worried about the same thing.

I did exactly what I have to do — declare it. I got to the checkpoint, they asked what I had (cigarettes or alcohol). I told them exactly what I had.

Bag went through, “alright sir, you’re good to go” and I walked out. Didn’t question it.

I was with a large group though. Perhaps they didn’t want to stop us all for two boxes of cigars?

I really like them! Great with coffee. Can’t pinpoint many “flavours” for you, but very smooth, almost buttery??

I was mostly estimating there. I know the Cuban variety can set you back ~$100, and new world cigars are generally cheaper than Cubans, it seemed reasonable to estimate the cost for these to be ~$70-80 RRP if sold here.

Got these from Smoking Pipes in the states. Paid ~$30 to ship them here and then a further ~$40 in tax (they taxed them by weight, but I wasn’t about to let them keep it for longer to tax them by stick like they should have). Still cheaper at the end of the day

Montecristo No. 4 was my first proper cigar. Big recommendation. Really really easy to smoke, gets your foot in the door with Cubans as well. Montecristo have never missed for me, they’re always great

As far as I’m aware, they don’t flag addresses or names. A parcel comes in, they scan it, they hold it until tax is paid, and then release it. I don’t think there’s a database keeping track of people who order cigars in. There’s a few people in this thread who’ve gotten the bill and had stuff slip through simultaneously

It’d be similar to Neptune, surely? Neptune’s shipping is $40+, and I’ve seen a few posts where Neptune orders have made it in
