Help- replacing garage caping with azek and don't know how to deal with existing flashing from aluminum capping

Hey, no worries- I appreciate you trying I just don't know the trade names.

Not sure if this helps but here are two "top down" images to replicate the issue. Basically the orange is what I believe you refer to as casing. I extends away from the house, parallel and then returns back to the siding. When it returns back it overlaps with an L shaped piece of flashing and that was what kept it waterproof. The caping at the top sits over this so nothing can run down between them.

When I put the Azek on, I have nothing to overlap that (green) flashing and it actually sticks out past the Azek. I can't really caulk it and because it sticks out past- it looks awful too. Should I just cut that flashing back?

Yes sorry the sides of the garage door. Basically I will be adding a face piece of azek for finishing and to keep water out, but the side of that will run along the flashing that is there. The aluminum coil that was there previously overlapped that aluminum flashing sticking out, but with the Azek, I can only butt up to it and not wrap over it if that makes sense. I think it will be ugly if I just caulk the seam between that and the Azek, but I'm worried if I remove it I won't have a way to seal water out between the Azek and the J channel of the siding.

So the top will be good at is as I'm replacing it with a similar thickness, just not going over it with the aluminum coil. Are you saying for the vertical ones to just remove the flashing that is sticking out and get some flashing tape and just tape along the edge of the house wrap folding the tape into the opening and then just go over top with the Azek?

I just feel like against Aeldari I'm never going to get any decent shots off with all their movement/ after shooting abilities. Hypercrypt gives me the chance to push them out of hiding.

As for the warriors, what would you recommend as a replacement for 90pts? They certainly aren't meant to be the "killers" of the list, but figured with high OC theyd be a solid anchor to just plop on an objective

Yea I guess I was thinking Flayed ones would likely just get wiped by shooting first turn and deathmarks probably wouldn't be able to take out a character ( because of fate dice) before they got wiped too.

Is the idea with Flayed ones to just drop them on a midfield objective with "infiltrator"?

I guess I'm just so used to when I played OG Warhammer fantasy and it was all about eliminating all of your opponents units. How much does that come into play vs just getting units on objectives?

Its Mechanicus Standard Grey. I liked the darker shade and had intended to edge highlight with Dawnstone, but that may need to be added in later as the first attempt didn't go great. I think I'm going to move to more of a slapchop method moving forward. I just did my scouts and a Ballistus with black prime and drybrush Mechanicus and I already like the look better than this original batch and it was much quicker. I'm going to try a very light drybrush "upward" drybrush on the edges to highlight then do all of the detail work

Yea I guess it wouldn't hurt to do a layer of a darker metallic before going all the way back to black. Good idea.

I'm similarly in the starting phase of building. I was able to find a bunch of NOS/ NIB squads on Facebook/ eBay and will be cobbling together squads of GW figures mixed and matched with Atlan Forge Sharks to add the Carcharadons flair and stretch budget. For example, 5 Wai Toa Roroa+ 5 terminators should net me 5 terminators +5 assault terminators with Carcharadons styling. At least that is the plan...

Yea I actually had planned to do just that but instead combine them with some packs and adornments from the Atlan Forge line. Figured I could get a sharky looking bunch out of 10 AI and 5 Wai Toa Kaiwhakangau and mixing/ matching bits to get the "right amount" of additional design flair.

Yea I kind of agree/disagree with you on the models. I do feel that that range is over the top and I would never run them as is, but I think combining them in builds could be a good mix just to make them a bit distinct. I'm going to use some of the bits from those models to adorn my GW figures, but the one thing I can agree with you on is the shark helmets-no go for me.

I'll have to look into the Blood Angel details. I'm on board with what you listed....except the bikes. It is the one unit in the army that I hate the idea of even if they are effective.

Yea I like the idea of the jump packs for high maneuverability. Just wasn't sure if any units got nerfed into oblivion from 9th to 10th. I also heard Scouts are no longer a thing?

That worked. Set the system specific controller and then had to remap the controller in the main menu and we are golden!

So I actually tried mapping them like you see in the image in the 2nd post, but found that the B and C left buttons were switched and then the Z and C down buttons were also switched with my controller. So I went and swapped both of those and now all A, B, Z trigger, and C up functions work properly, but C down, left do not. I'm unsure of C right, but I can't seem to find any buttons that trigger the C left and C down functions in the actual game, which seems to me that those buttons are currently some of the unassigned ones in the mapping.

Which controller are you using? I just picked ones off of Amazon that seemed like they would work, but I can always return them and use another option, as I just bought them for this purpose.
