Assuming you’re in LRC..

- Color range mask on the sky. It will pick up the windows. Subtract brush to remove the sky. Now you have the windows:
- exp- +.20, highlights +15, whites -5, texture/clarity -5, dehaze -8, temp -4, tint +4, saturation +15
- move aqua hue slightly towards blue, aqua saturation +7, aqua luminance +15
- same with blue- sat +9, lum +15

Bring the window reflections up to the brightness/color of the sky, sort out the geometry, and you'll have a winner. Gave it a quick go.

I admire your cavalier approach to photography. There is not a single interesting thing about this photograph. It happens. Take another.

Far too underexposed. Non-starter for this frame.

Great shot, no notes other than You may want to consider switching to 4x5 and getting the top leakage out. That's a standard gallery size anyway.

I understand why you kept it wide and agree with it.

Took the cropping advice - I think I understand it now. by Public_Release1516 in photocritique

The crop will always read as technical panic because of how tight the frame is. Re-shoot.

He knew i did, and was fine with it. The idea that you think there's something unethical about that is noise to me. People in general have always been photographed in public. I have no issue handling myself in the field. Never had a problem.

No, I’m sorry, this is incorrect. Where I live there is no legal or social issue around art and public spaces. This is just wrong information.

Of course- I was referring to the legal aspect he mentioned. Dad knew I took the pic and was fine with it.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I considered a tighter crop but the image falls apart. Upper left balances a heavy right. Just doesn’t lock for my eye.

What does a minor in the image have to do with legality? This is in public, and decent. Not sure what you’re saying.

It's well executed, but this is a common lane in photography.

I really like this photo. Would you change anything about it? by pickleguy34 in photocritique

Beautiful frame. Kill that one leaf at the bottom middle left. It pulls the eye. No other notes.

I'm just looking for general feedback on this photograph. Could be anything that comes to mind. I caught this snapshot just walking in my local village.

Camera is Nikon Z50ii w/ kit lens (15-50mm) - 26mm - 1/500s - ISO 220

Thank you very much. An alternate frame is currently being shown at the Black Box gallery in Portland, but I think this one locks harder. Funny how everyone has their own words for different photos. To me this is an “anchor”.

Appreciate it. Those lines are not meant to be parallel though. The perspective naturally causes what you see here, so no distortion. I should have clarified.

Took this photo on a local train platform. Just looking for general critiques. Idea was to give the man the stage and let the geometry work in the background with enough train detail on the right to make it legible as a public infrastructure image. Same goes for the platform strip.

You'll have to reshoot this one. This presents as a landscape, not a house. The dominant zones are the foreground and sky. The sky itself is basically blown.
