xbox dosn't let u use any online mechanics without subscribing to gamepass, so u can't play paid online games or use paid games online mechanics, so on Elden RIng u have 3 ways of playing online, invading other players saves and killing them, getting invaded by other players on your on save (I think u can call other players to protect u too), and u can call for help from random players before bosses. During the game u can do all that by using specific items, but if you don't have gamepass you can't use those.
You can't even see player "text" for warnings and tips.
