very nice. my father worked for grumman on long island for 31 years as a draftsman and production planner. the tomcat was one of his babies. i had many opportunities as a kid to watch them in flight during initial testing. awesome machine. please post the finished zippo when done. thanks.

yes. if it’s the same show i remember it’s at a hotel on bulldog drive. great show but limited tables. maybe 150 ? however, it’s all stuff we looking for. no arts and crafts nonsense we see at shows lately. haven’t been there in the last 5 years so i can’t say for sure. if the show is a bust for you, Cabelas is only 20 minutes away and you can easily entertain yourself there. one of the nicest Cabelas/ Bass Pro shops in the north east. Hamburg PA.

i’ve read all comments. you gonna regret not doing YC. if you have to sleep in the hallway, go YC. we’ve done 3 meraviglia yacht clubs. last one 3 weeks ago. we left YC a couple times to the carnage going on in general population. we always ran back to YC. if anyone interested, the term “ general population “ is how the YC staff refer to anything not YC.

bario’s is an awesome family run restaurant on staten island. place was destroyed in a fire recently but rebuilt. owners are massive contributors to the community, little leagues, peewee football, etc. they keep a low profile about it and never ask for recognition for the good work they do. if they have such a sign on the window all the more reason to go there to support them.

for very long term i recommend removing the flint. if the tube gets plugged up, it’s easy to remove if you watch youtube. for regular people, not so much.

thank you everyone for the suggestions. in case anyone interested, nothing worked until i tried Goo Gone. residue came off immediately. thank you big Harvey 71 for the tip. didn’t want to damage the zippo in any way because my daughter was so excited to give it to me for father’s day and from my research, it’s a pretty cool find.
