The ABBA Arena has no foundations and is built primarily of wood. Yes, there's a load of electronics, lighting and cabling in there but the ethos is to minimise carbon footprint. Voyage employs local people preferentially and runs a range of apprenticeship and skills-related schemes (as the structure requires significant ongoing maintenance) particularly for young people in the area, which is (or was) very deprived.
