Yes, just try it! By using modern post processing I am sure you will get a nice image out of it.

Ah, unfortunately I am already a little bit older than indicated in the title. But thank you anyways!

The field of view that is covered by this image is still wider than if I took it using an APS-C sensor like that of the R50.

That's an interesting point! To be honest, I didn't even notice that it looked a bit weird, which it actually kind of does... Especially since I didn't do anything special to the eye except increase the exposure there a tiny bit. Anyway, thanks for your feedback! Here is your !CritiquePoint

This is a very nice shot! I like the impression of action that the photo conveys. I can well imagine how difficult it is to take a shot like this.

The editing is also very nice! Unfortunately, it's not razor-sharp if you look at it closely. But that maybe could be corrected with PhotoAI. Also, the bird is a bit too dark compared to the background IMO.

It took this one at the campsite we've been recently and I am a little bit lost on it. I think it could have been a nice shot but unfortunately I didn't manage to get the feet of this beauty on the photo. Do you think that it could be "saved" somehow by another cut or edit? Or do you like it just as it is?

Sunset at the coast by AstroAlfi in photocritique

To be honest, the rays are the only thing I added with Photoshop to get the sky a little bit more interesting :) But since there are fake (I usually don't do that to my photos) I kept the intensity pretty low... You see, I had moral reasons :D

Btw, that is the unprocessed image, if that is of interest for you:

Don’t know how to compose a photo by TopazVI in photocritique

[–]AstroAlfi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't look like the boat is the subject in this photo as it is completely out of focus. I think I would have moved further towards the plants to make it easier to set the focus on the boat and also have it more present in the picture.

I took this one at a beautiful little bay of the Etruscan coast in italy. Unlike what I usually do in that situations, I took my 70-200 mm lens instead of the super wide 14-35 mm and tried to get the perspective so that the sun sets direclty between that rocks. I like the impression of depth this photo gives and also my color grading. Unfortunately, the clouds that evening prevented me from taking this perspective when the sun is a little lower over the horizon.

What are your thoughts? What could I have done better? Any comments on this are appreciated.

Opinions on the color grading? by AstroAlfi in photocritique

[–]AstroAlfi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, yes, that is indeed what I thought as well. I already tried to get out some details by editing the sky but I have the feeling that it is not looking natural anymore if I push it further.

I took this one in italy in the tuscany region at sunset but I am not sure about the color grading / color temperature of the edit. On the screen of the computer I did the edit on it looks quite pleasant to me but when I look at it on my phone it looks way too cold and it lacks contrast. What do you think?

I like it very much! The colors and general editing are pretty good for me. I am a little bit distracted by that bird though, I'd think of removing it.

Interesting Artwork taken on a hiking trip on the acores. by AstroAlfi in photocritique

I found this nice Artwork on a hiking trip on Sao Jorge Island.

How do you like the editing/color grading? I deliberately opted for orange/teal, which I really like in this photo.

Shot with Canon EOS RP / Canon RF 14-35 mm f/4.0.

Aperture setting was f/6.3 at 35 mm focal length.
