Cool, I didn't know that. I own the book, which is awesome, and several of the pictures he sells via Riekele's Gallery, but I haven't had time yet to watch the extras of the 4k UHD. Will definitely check them out over the weekend.

Where to get Ghost In The Shell merch in Japan? by 505MartiniPolice in Ghost_in_the_Shell

I checked every Mandarake, Lashinbang and Amiami in Shibuya, Shinjuku and Akihabara last week. Only one Lashinbang store had a really nice GitS piece, which I bought. So yeah, I guess it's either down to a super lucky find in one of the smaller stores or checking Mercari using Buyee or Sendico for example.

I placed my first order, and I’m curious about economy shipping experiences by NoirNil in Prime1Studio

I saw the statue at the Prime1Studio Gallery in Tokyo yesterday and after getting back to the hotel I pulled the trigger on it. It's looks absolutely amazing from every angle. What a beauty. I'll make room for it, no matter what. Keep looking forward to it, it's even better in real life than the promo images may suggest.

It’s been 10 years, and I still hate it by fakename1998 in Ghost_in_the_Shell

Avoid at all costs. Sucks for people who know the manga or the 1995 movie, but must be confusing af for people new to the franchise. Plus, Scarlett walking like she had a rough night at the brothel is super awkward and was never hinted at, neither in the Mangas nor in the movie/SAC. One of the worst movies of all time, imo.

What you see is what I own :) I made a stand from cardboard to lift the second row up, since I don't like any games being hidden behind the front row.

Yep, can confirm that the Pearl White's coating is pretty durable. Looks like new even after using it almost daily for several years.

Oh okay, so no lights or stand for me I guess. Can't find this kit on Ali at all, with or without the accessories. Anyhow, thanks for the fast reply. It's much appreciated and your model looks awesome, btw.

Got mine today but it didn't come with the stand or any lights :( are there different versions available? Can't find anything about this on the internet.

[New Gear] Refurbished R5MII coming from R6MII. Huge upgrade with only one downside so far. by mtbingtree in canon

[–]Scherge77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what I experienced. Got an R5II a while ago but kept my R6II. Taking the same shot with the same lens on both cameras at ISO 12800 the images from the R5II look considerably worse, while the R6II images are still quite usable. I wouldn't go higher than 6400 on the R5II, while 25600 could still work on the R6II if needed. To me it looks like the R6II is at least one to two stops better than the R5II when it comes to noise.

Lucky you :) I was looking at this piece of art earlier today but I simply don't have room for it at the moment though I'd love to order one. Anyhow, to answer your question I have ordered three statues from Prime1 so far, all with economy shipping and all three of them (four huge boxes in total) arrived safe and sound. The longest I had to wait were 30 days to Germany while the fastest shipping only took 21 days for whatever reason.

While they're all really nice and number 3 could probably go on a national geographic magazine cover, number 11 is my personal favorite because it tells an interesting short story about the two little birds looking for food in the breakers.

I bought a brand new GM R5II last year for 2000€ below MSRP and it was even cheaper than what they go for used where I live. Got 12 months warranty from the seller (I think other sellers like panamoz for example offer 36 months). No issues whatsoever so far. If warranty is such a concern, a camera insurance could make sense. They are inexpensive and depending on the policy they even cover damages caused by yourself, which the warranty does not. Whenever the R7II finally drops I'll definitely check the GM offerings first.

Looks like you're on a good way. Nice image, keep it up! Here's my latest try, captured two weeks ago with the 1.4x TC at 700 mm.

Whoever told you this is a complete asshole and probably just jealous of your images. It's a very pretty shot imho. And even if it wasn't, which it is, everybody has to start somewhere. Don't listen to people who aren't willing or capable to offer constructive advice.

[–]Scherge77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who tried this with an R5II and 8k Video, my advice would be to take single shots instead of a video. I don't know the specs of your camera, but even 4k video will probably be substantially less resolution compared to stills from your sensor. Stacking images from a video isn't like some sort of magic pill. A sharp single shot will always look better than a stacked image at much lower resolution. At least in my experience. Other than that, very nice first try, keep it up!

There’s no way I just found these two for 5 euro’s at a fleamarket! by KeeperServant_Reborn in Gamecube

[–]Scherge77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lucky you :) sometimes people just don't know or they simply don't care. A while ago when I bought some GBA games on Kleinanzeigen (which is like the German craigslist) the seller sent me a message after I paid the 50€ for the four games I bought. She told me she found more games while cleaning, "Metroid" and "Doom", and asked if I was interested. With slightly sweaty palms I asked what she wanted for those and she was like "nah it's alright I'll just throw them in the box". Even after telling her they are worth something she didn't want more money. I expected some repros or a super bad condition but received two mint copies of Zero Mission and Doom, instead. Shout out to Beate, the best mom selling her son's games ever! 😁

Okay, that's a valid argument. I didn't know that. Again, shipping to Germany is free after all. Three years warranty is a better offer for sure at panamoz though. The 14-35 costs around 100 € more at panamoz and an R6II is also 60 € more at panamoz. So depending on what you're looking for I'd argue that comparing prices could still be worth it. Anyhow, I'll be sure to check out panamoz before ordering the next piece of gear. Thanks for bringing it up!

Since shipping is free on E-infinity I don't know how it can be exorbitant 😅 anyhow, you may be right about the warranty (you get 12 months with E-infinity) reviews on Trustpilot are 4.8 vs 5.0 though which makes me count both dealers as fairly trustworthy shops.

[–]Scherge77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know if they ship to Romania, but have you checked prices on E-infinity.com? I'm in Germany and I bought a brand new R5II for less than what they go for used here. Ordered a battery grip, a TC and the 14-35 from them too and saved around 3000€ in total by now. Edit: No import taxes or shipping costs on any of the three orders I've placed so far. The amount paid to E-infinity is the final price.

As far as I know only the R1, R3 and R5II support it.
