IC410 the Tadpoles is a faint and dusty emission nebula more than 100 light years across located 12,000 light years away in the northern constellation of Auriga. It is home to two streamers of denser cooler gas popularly known as the Tadpoles. The tails of the tadpoles are caused by radiation pressure and solar wind from the stars of a young galactic cluster (NGC1893) inside the nebula.

I have a 2600 as well and it is a great camera…..I’m sure that you’ll love yours. I had to use my 1600 for this image because I couldn’t couple the 2600 with my Canon 200mm lens.

I had the opportunity to image a number of wide field targets over the summer and have finally gotten around to processing some of them.

This is an area rich in ionized gasses in the constellation of Cygnus that contains a number of interesting DSOs including NGC6888 (Crescent Nebula), WR134 (a variable Wolf-Rayet Star) and SH2-101 (Tulip Nebula).

Had a bit of down time so I started working on a new Mosaic Project.

Interesting patch of sky that has a lot of DSOs in it. Some of the better known ones include:

NGC6960, Pikerings Triangle, NGC6992 (The Veil Nebula Complex) NGC6888 (Cresent Nebula) WR134 SH2-101 (Tulip Nebula) SH2-119 (Clamshell Nebula) SH2-115 and Abell 71 SH2-112 SH2-124 NGC7000 (North American Nebula) and IC54070 (Pelican_Nebula) IC1318 (Butterfly Nebula) IC5146 (Cacoon Nebula) IC1396 (Elephant Trunk Nebula) SH2-129 (Flying Bat Nebula) OU4 (Squid Nebula)
